Maastricht is a very pretty small city with wonderful restaurants, lively cafés, and interesting shops - it is a very agreeable place to relax and enjoy the hospitality for which Limburg is famous. The town is situated in what might be termed the Dutch mountains, an area with rolling hills, Flemish castles, and many walking trails - it is also an excellent base for exploring other towns and indeed other countries. Follow the Maas for half an hour to reach Liège, or drive half an hour in another direction to Aachen, Charlemagne's town, where the cathedral has the best mosaics north of Ravenna. The larger cities of Brussels, Antwerp, Düsseldorf and Cologne, each with a distinctive atmosphere and much to offer, are all about an hour from Maastricht. Explore the area and come back to the comfort of your own base, or just enjoy the many possibilities within walking distance - either way you'll have a wonderful time.
Fully equipped apartment, close to center of Maastricht and most university buildings.

We had a fantastic stay in Barbara's Maastricht Apartment. The accommodation was light and spacious, conveniently located and only a short walk to the old town and all the sights.
Barbara is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
We had a pleasant stay at the lodge. The lodge was clean and fully equipped. Barbara did everything to let us feel comfortable at arrival, she is a good host. She gave us some good recommendations.
The lodge is located on walking distance from the City centre.
The only minor point was the hardness of the mattresses, a little too hard for us. But that's everyone's personal preference.
A perfect place to stay for a visit to Maastricht.
Barbara is a warm、thoughtful、welcoming host. The house is just like the pictures, very clean、full of sunshine and well-decorated, Barbara even provide us nice clean towels milk wine and bread in the fridge, everything you need is in the room.
And the location is great as well, 10~15 min to the center by walk, and while walking we can enjoy the exotic atmosphere, see the beautiful white houses and churches along the street.
Overall, it was a great experience, we would definitely wanna visit again.
Barbara was warm, welcoming and very friendly. She picked us up from the train station AND dropped us back there at the end of our stay: above and beyond!
The apartment is private and beautifully designed, on the second floor of her lovely Dutch house. The living room is east-facing and so gets the sunshine in the morning, while the bedroom looks out over a garden to the west - you wake up listening to gentle bird song and the rustling of tree leaves.
Barbara also provided us with breakfast fresh from the local bakery each morning. Great tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-kitchenette where you can heat soup on the hob, or keep things In the fridge. Everything is spotless. We'd definitely go back!
We had a fabulous stay at Barbara's place and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maastricht! The location was perfect, and the rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The space easily accommodated our family of four, and beds were very comfortable. Barbara lives in the house and was very welcoming and helpful. She is an artist with a huge and fascinating collection of work. She was more than happy to let us look around her studio space, and anyone in the market for truly lovely paintings, sculptures or furniture, will want to allow themselves the time to look over her work while they're there. We are very happy to have met Barbara and are already planning to stay with her on our next trip to Maastricht.
