Although we did not meet Jose Luis, Javier was a fantastic and knowledgeable host who gave us so much information regarding where to eat and what to see.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Javier is an amazing host who welcomes you and makes you feel home directly. The cabins are extremely clean and very well equipped. The pool is great to refresh after a long day in the area. The view is amazing and it was one of the most relaxed places we have been so far. Breakfast was delicious especially the home made guayaba marmelade - yummy! We can definitely recommend staying there (it is close to Poas and la Paz around 45mins by car). Thanks again to Javier, it is a shame we couldnt stay longer!

Our stay at Hotel Mango Valley was very pleasant. Jose Luis and his staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Javier. The room and all facilities were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice addition to the stay, serving local coffee and fresh fruits. We enjoyed spending time by the pool and garden, with a great view of the mountainside and coffee farms just outside of Grecia.

We had a really great stay at Hotel Mango Valley! The spot is beautiful and so picturesque. The gentleman managing the hotel, Javier, is incredibly kind and helpful. The place is very clean and breakfast is delicious. If you have the opportunity to meet Jose, you will not be disappointed! He is so kind and genuinely proud of his hotel and has good reason to be. This place was awesome. I would highly recommend!

Hotel Mango Valley is a great place to stay. It's quiet, a short drive to Grecia, Volcan Poas and the La Paz Waterfalls. For coffee lovers, this is set in coffee growing country. Coffee plants are literally everywhere. We didn't have any trouble with bugs. Jose met us in the parking lot with a huge smile. Later, we met Maite. Both of them are charming people and I'm glad to have met them. The roads to the hotel are paved, just steep so driving there without a four wheel drive vehicle is definitely possible. Wifi speeds are good though be aware that this is Costa Rica so it may drop out for no apparent reason. Maite is very good about communicating the nature of the problem to her ability. If you have a Costa Rican phone or SIM (I like Movistar), we were able to get service in our room.

We can't say enough good things about Mango Valley and Jose Y Maite! They both greeted us as we drove in. They are very friendly and we loved talking to them. I told my husband, 'if we lived here, they would be our friends'. They were very quick and helpful with all communication. They are very professional and conscientious about being available for their guests at any time. They told us where we could visit and when would be the best time because of the weather and visibility. Our room & the grounds were immaculately clean. Our room was cleaned everyday and it had everything we needed. Mini fridge, microwave, cooking hob and sink with all the necessary utensils. The views here are amazing and can't be captured in just a picture. There are coffee plantations everywhere. There is much to see and do while you are there. We were there in October and expected to be rained on every day, but it was lovely. It only rained a few times while we were out but passed quickly. Definitely try the restaurant right up the street for some very local food. We had trouble finding it in the dark, only because it isn't very market with signs, but it was worth the search. We loved every part of staying at Mango Valley. We hope to return again.

Response from Jose Luis:
Dear! We left our comment in Spanish so you can collect different languages but, now in English, you are an amazing couple!! Once we research and find out what is the "cream/half n half for the coffee" we will have it here hahahaha Next time tamales with cream and coffee ;) ;) ;) Hugs!! Phoenix is another place now in our bucket list...

Maite and Jose were wonderful hosts. They really bend over backwards to make sure all their guests enjoy their stay. The property itself is very beautiful. Located just outside of Gerica, it sits atop the hills overlooking beautiful landscapes. It's definitely an amazing place to stay!
