  • My partner and I stayed 2 weeks at Susana's place. Just like everyone said in these comments, everything is great : Susana is very kind, welcoming, helpful and in the same time gives you space for living your life by yourself. Great moments of discussion accompanied with good tea. We definitely recommend it.

  • My partner and I stayed at Susana's for three nights in November this year. We stayed in the "granny flat" (additional back garden room). I found that it was private and comfortable. During the evenings (when it was getting below freezing) the heaters in the room kept us warm (to the point that I had to get up and turn them off). The bed was a foam/firm mattress and I found it comfortable. We had fresh towels and bedding and tea and coffee.
Susana (and her dog Bonzo) were both lovely hosts. Susana was able to give some tips about some nice places to eat in the local area and was very welcoming.

  • Susana is very kind and helpful. The house is nice and well located near the subway station. It was a great place for our stay in New-York!

  • We absolutely loved staying with Susana. She was a lovely host - she is very helpful and gives you space. The room is cosy and private. The location is fantastic - lovely neighborhood, the flat is very close to the L line and you can be in Manhattan in ten minutes. (Also - we loved bonso!) Highly recommended.

  • This place is really great. Susana is a great host, if we saw each other in the house we always had a nice chat. The room is quiet and clean. It has a comfortable sofa bed and two heaters.

When I have a chance to go to New York again, I would be glad to stay at Susana's place again.

A nice coffee bar for breakfast is close by at Graham Avenue ( Variety). The area around Bedford Avenue is also very close with lots of cafés, bars and restaurants. The subway is almost around the corner, maybe 3 minutes walk. Citibike stations are around Bedford Avenue, so you can also rent a bike and ride to Manhattan via Williamsburg Bridge (great views at night).

  • My fabulous week in New York was made even better for having chosen to stay in Susana's gorgeous garden room! Susana's tranquil bijou type room was quiet, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated and being only five minutes walk from the subway was perfect for getting straight into Manhattan as well as being a tranquil oasis to return to after adventuring all day in Manhattan or the trendy, café/bar/shop lined streets around the nearby Bedford Avenue. I also had no worries about coming back to the apartment on my own late at night as the neighborhood is so safe. On top of all of this the room, being separate from the house was incredibly private but when Susana and I happened to be in the kitchen at the same time she was great company and I had a lovely time chatting with her over cups of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.. she was the perfect host! :)

  • Susana’s home was lovely and the garden room was a cozy stay. It had everything one needs with wifi access and a great patio space. Susana was extremely hospitable, easygoing and great to have conversation with. She was very helpful with directions and getting me back to the airport on time. I misplaced my key and had to mail it to her and she was very understanding. I would recommend her place to stay and would go back there myself if in NYC.

  • Susana was great host! She was very helpful and always made us comfortable staying. Location is just perfect for vacation! Very close to L line, and that goes straight to Manhattan within 10min and you won't waste your time for transferring another line. Also, easy access to Bedford Ave area where many local stores( vintage, designed clothing, handcraft jewelries made in Brooklyn), and tons of hip cafes and restaurants are. I walked to there and took around 15-20min. It's nice to walk when it's sunny. I would highly recommend staying here!

  • Staying with Susana was an absolute delight! She is such a gracious host, such an amazing person and such a hospitable host.

The room in which I stayed was clean, comfy, private and the bed was fantastic.

Thank you so much for the absolutely amazing experience at your house Susana - I especially liked our rooibos tea and agave chats...

  • Susana's garden room was fabulous, the bed was so comfortable resulting in a great nights sleep, every night, yard a major sun-trap and the house fabulously styled.

Susana is a fantastic individual, her house and accommodation are exceptional and I'd thoroughly recommend anyone wanting to visit NYC, to stay here in Williamsburg/Brooklyn and travel over the water to Manhattan.
