This solution is suitable for persons or couples that would like to enjoy Florence having a fully equipped house where restore after their tours and solve any (even small) need you might have. Any tool or facility you can miss is there, just on request.
The large bedroom is 240 sq.ft., with a king-size double bed with an ergonomic mattress (by Tempur), duvet, wardrobe, and pc with wireless internet connection. It allows a full intimacy.
Remaining spaces are shared and can be used as you need.
There is a beautiful sunny living room.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave over, dishwasher, washing machine for clothes. The marble bathroom includes a bathtub-shower and a bidet.
The shower curtain has presently a limited effectiveness that my cause some water of the floor.
The bedrooms and the living room all have wood floors, designer furniture, and frescoed ceilings.
The apartment (800 sqft) is in a beautiful building in a 19th century section of Florence, which features some neighboring Liberty Style (Art Nouveau) buildings. The streets are wide but quiet, near to the English Cemetery, and Piazza Savonarola and Parco D'Azeglio, two wonderful squares.
The apartment is a 10-minute walk from the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery, a 5-minute walk to Firenze Campo di Marte rail station. Bus #13, stopping in front of the house, goes to Piazzale Michelangelo and the San Miniato Church in Oltrarno with a beautiful view over the historical center of Florence. Bus #6 goes to the main center.
Parking is available on the street in front of the house at 1 euro per hour for 8am to 8pm, and free after that.
I can offer lessons for a quick introduction to Italian cuisine.
It is possible to use the kitchen to prepare meals and the living room to watch TV, read.
I leave to my guests absolute privacy during their stay. On arrival give useful information about the places to see or services to be enjoyed.
Giuseppe was a very kind and helpful host. Not only did we particularly appreciate the welcoming italian coffee upon arrival but also all the tips he gave us regarding buses, things to see or restaurants (he truly desserves a 10/10 on that point!) as well as the nice talks throughout our stay.
The place was very nice and quiet and not far from the main spots. It is actually at walking distance but if you prefer to use the public transports, Giuseppe will give you all the info you'll need.
Even though the kitchen, living room and bathroom are shared, we got enough privacy and felt kind of home.
We were there for the Firenze marathon, hence a pretty short stay but I would als recommand his room for longer stays without probelm.
Giuseppe is a great host, he has a good sense about art and his smile is charming , his flat is very nice and super clean, we feel like home during our 4 nights stay at Florence .
Giuseppe was a wonderful host and very helpful throughout our stay. His apartment is clean and spacious. It is about a 20 minutes walk into town to see the sights but it is a nice walk along the back streets. You share a bathroom with the Giuseppe but he only rents one room out so you don't have to worry about staying with other travelers. If you don't mind being a bit out of town, this is a nice option.
The room itself is really pretty and the bed is really comfortable. Even though Giuseppe is almost always at home, your room will provide you privacy if you want to.
Giuseppe himself is really nice and willing to help, but it is his house, and he likes to go around with only underwear and shirt, something that my girlfriend didn't find appropriate.
The lack of a real shower curtain also can be approved, but Giuseppe is aware of the problem, and I hope he'll do something soon.
Overall, good price and great apartment, really close to everything.
Hi Tuval and Inbar, first of all let me apologize for the discomfort that you are referring; you are talking of my shorts and shirt but, I understand the point, that shorts can be mistaken for underwer, so I will simply avoid to use them in future.
It is also important for me to say on this point that I don't think the host can have privileges in comparison of guests (and viceversa): for mutual respect nor the host nor the guests can feel free to go with only underwear and shirt in the house. In fact this never happened.
About the shower curtain, I will report its limited effectiveness in the house description, till I will improve it (in three weeks).
Guiseppe was wonderful. The room and apartment were exactly as listed. It was great having Guiseppe as a resource. His English is very good and he was more than willing to help educate you on Florence as well as Italy. He offered great suggestions and helped us understand some. He was quick to respond and willing to make accomodations when requested. The bed was just as comfortable as advertised. However, the bathtub with plenty of hot water was a lovely surprise for me (both are rare in Europe). He made you feel comfortable.
Nuestra estancia fué muy satisfacctoria. Habitación correcta, colchón supercómodo( es un Tempur) y Giuseppe es encantador, atento y servicial en todo lo que pudimos necesitar.
Oh Giuseppe! How wonderful it is even just think of you and the great time we had at your lovely sunny room. We were concerned initially about sharing an apartment with the host as it's just something we've done before, however, it turned out to be great. Giuseppe is a very generous, talented and inspiring man, my boyfriend and I were most glad that we shared our stories over the tasty chocolate cake. The apartment is situated in a very local and quiet area, as Giuseppe lives there, it's equipped with everything.
Florence is such an artistic city with much more characteristics (comparing to Rome), we enjoyed all the quiet walks around the neighborhood, the galleries and museums we stumbled into, the less touristy piazzas where you could see locals and their dogs sitting in the sun.
We missed seeing David (the statue) since the queue was too long, should you wanna see all the attractions, the dome or David... be sure to get there early in the morning (8:30am ish) to beat the crowd!
Giuseppe was an perfect host and his apartment is just wonderful from a point of view of the location, as well as for the room.
Giuseppe was an exceptional host. Everything was exactly as promised and the bed was exceptionally comfortable - which is very important when traveling. We feel we made a new friend in Giuseppe and we will definitely stay with him on our next trip to Florence.
Giuseppe was a wonderful host for our stay in Florence. The room was lovely and everything I hoped for - sunny, quiet and clean with the most comfortable bed I have every slept in. The apartment is in a great location without being in the noisy city center but close enough to walk to many sites. It was a great first experience with airbnb and I highly recommend it. It made our stay in Florence perfect! Thank you Giueseppe.
