Comfortable lodge, basic but with all you need for a few days stay. Shower over the bath, living room/kitchen, great views down the loch. We are 5 minutes from picturesque Plockton with great pubs, restaurant and take aways and a pretty harbour. An hour from Applecross over the highest paved road in Britain, terrific views of all the islands, great sandy beach and award winning food in the Inn. We are 15 minutes from the Skye bridge and the banks, supermarket etc in Kyle of Lochalsh.

The space
We live on a farm with llamas, racoons, sheep, goats, pigs, hens, ducks, guinea fowl, rabbits, owls etc and you can walk around the farm and feed them.

Guest access
You can walk around the farm, feed the animals or just relax between mountain, meadow and loch. A great base for visiting Skye, Applecross and the immediate area which has many walks both high and low level.

Other things to note
There is a railway line running through the farm which takes people from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and our nearest train station is Duncraig which is a request stop. There is also bus connections to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness in Kyle of Lochalsh, 7 miles away.

I am married, for 34 years to Terry, a computer teacher at the local high school whose 'photo I have used, I could not get mine to load!.I am a retired midwife who has been looking after the farm, cottages and foster children since leaving work at the local hospital. I was born in Egypt, brought up in Singapore and lived all over Europe and the U.S.A prior to settling in the Highlands of Scotland. Terry runs a charity which has taken computers to schools and orphanages in Africa for over 20 years taking senior school pupils who benefit from the experience as much as the children in Africa do from receiving the computers. We work hard on the farm looking after our animals and cottages so in October we often go to a Greek island for some peace and sunshine. I read a lot so leave books for guests to read here or take to their next stop and we have loads of dvds for guests to borrow as, in the winter, we do watch them as there is NO LIVE TELEVISION signal at the farm.
