Cosy 1 bedroom home. Fully equipped, kitchen, living room, study, bathroom. 5 mins walk to DART (train takes 20 mins to city), 8 mins to Dun laoghaire, 4 mins to beautiful coastline, shops restaurants, pier etc..Wifi & amenities. I love the location!
The artisan nature of the house gives a great local feel to staying here and is really cosy and homely inside.
Use all the house amenities ( washer, dryer, fully kitted kitchen, bathroom, wifi, tv, multi fuel stove to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
This is a great place to enjoy the local seaside and heritage of Dun Laoghaire / Dalkey and also see Dublin city quite easily. If you love the coastline you'll like being here. Great retaurants in Glasthule village and local heritage pubs such as Fitzgeralds pub close by. If it's a nice day stroll along the coast to Dun Laoghaire pier and enjoy the local market on Sundays.
The aircoach bus leaves from Dublin airport every hour and stops a 5 min walk from the house so no taxis needed. The Dart (city train) is 4 mins walk from the house making all of Dublin easily accessible.
Rory's appartment is a cosy, quiet and nicely furnished place in the beautiful South Dublin area near the sea. Rory's father welcomed us when we arrived and took care of everything we needed. The location is perfect to go for trips to Dalkey and Killiney as well as Bray and Wicklow Mountains. Dublin City Centre is 25 "rail" minutes away and easy to reach.
I would love to go to Dublin again soon. Thank you Rory!
Rory was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating with some date changes we had. The house was ideally located for us as just minutes from Glasthule/Sandycove village which has many great shops. The house is basic and needs a bit of TLC in a few places but was definitely adequate for our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Rory.
We had a really nice stay at Rory's place. There was a slight mix-up with the key on his part, but he sorted it out very quickly, despite being abroad. (There was even a nice bottle of white wine on the table when we came in to the house). It was a very cosy place, and suited our needs very well. It's in a great location close to some lovely cafés, pubs and restaurants in Glasthule and Dun Laoghaire (and even the well known 40 foot bathing place in Sandycove). The proximity to the DART train to the city centre was also very convenient. I can highly recommend it!
What a lovely cosy place to stay! Based in a wonderful little town.
We had everything we needed. Thank you rory
Rory has a lovely cottage in a fantastic location. The house is small but very well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, lovely oven and hob, satellite t.v, wifi, central heating and the added bonus of a stove. It was great to come in and light a fire which heated the place very quickly, Rory had also left some firewood plus tea, coffee, wine and chocolate. The house is located a two minute walk from great facilities and the pretty village of Glasthule, which has some good high end restaurants such as Cavistons fish restaurant which was delicious they also have a gourmet deli which sold great salads, bread, cheese etc. The Dart which will take you into Dublin and beyond to Howth or to Greystones in the opposite direction was just around the corner as were some lovely sea walks.
Rory's Mum welcomed us when we arrived and was very helpful, the area where the house is located is quite affluent and safe and I look forward to returning in the near future.
Lovely little cottage, clean an tidy with good facilities and a great log fire. Rory was really helpful with all our requests. Would definitely stay again.
