About this listing
This is a truly exceptional downtown location, with an architecture that could be summed up in a merger between a Mediterranean ambience and traditional Mayan influences, surrounded by stunning vegetation. Sak Nah means "white house" in mayan.
This house is the result of a Mexican architect ... these wide open spaces, the high ceiling, the woodwork, the pleasant terrace, this close and exuberant vegetation and the fact that all the corners of the house are rounded, make this unusual a wonderful place to spend a night or more at a very reasonable price!
the guest has access to everything (except room of others ...!)! ... kitchen, fridge, swimming pool ... please, feel free!
Interaction with Guests
I love spending time with my guests ... I know very well this country that I love ... so I can talk and advise you with pleasure ...
as you may have noticed in the pictures, the kitchen is the central element ... let's cook and eat together! But I am also very discreet and very respectful of privacy and the pace of my guests ... everyone lives his life as he wishes here!
The little condominium is surrounded by two lovely parks ... I have lived in many neighborhoods in the city and this one is the most enjoyable...
We can not be more central! Restaurants of all kinds and all prices, supermarkets ... and especially the road to Playa del Carmen and Tulum is just seconds walking .... I tell you that this is the best place for you!
Other Things to Note
I provided you a local phone, if you need...and all my advices and recommendations on any topic ...

If you're looking for an authentic Cancun neighborhood feel and an affordable stopping point before traveling to Playa del Carmen or Tulum, this is the perfect spot. The room is the master in a 3-bedroom house on the top floor, with a private bathroom. There are no frills but it is exactly what you need if wanting to start your vacation on a budget and is comfortable after a long hard day at the beach :)
The apartment is on a lot with many other and it has a younger, hip, Melrosey Place kind of vibe, with a central pool connecting all the other apartments, which was great for an evening swim.
The neighborhood is very hip and has two cool parks fun for exploring. It reminded us of Williamsburg (In NY) and the Mission (In SF) ~20yrs ago. We loved the look and feel.
Benoit, is super gracious and very friendly. He was great with restaurant and city recommendations and even offered to cook us dinner the first night. He currently has a dog named Mojo who is just the sweetest, and two other roommates who were also very pleasant. Interaction was as much or as little as we preferred and we definitely felt like we had our own space.
We will visit Sak Nah again, should we return to Cancun!
It was absolutely amazing staying at Benoit's place. It was my first time using Airbnb and I'm very glad that his was the place I chose. It was nice to have a change from staying at a typical hotel and getting a more local feel for the area. His place was exactly what we were looking for in a lovely neighborhood. His fellow mates and dog were great company to have around. Benoit himself was also just as great giving us advice on local places to go and eat and being very friendly. I would recommend this place to friends.
We reserved just the day before and Benoit was really fast in getting back to us. The house was very unique, in all the best ways and our room was lovely--complete with private attached bathroom. Both room and bath were very spacious. We had a really nice time talking with Benoit and his roommates and Benoit gave us some great pointers about where to eat. We will be back. Thanks Benoit!
Benoit and his roommates were extremely welcoming, friendly, and accomodating throughout our stay; they made us feel very at home. Their house is absolutely beautiful--we especially enjoyed the pool and the front porch; the private bedroom and bathroom were perfect. We also loved the quiet of the neighborhood and the proximity to stores/restaurants/etc. Lovely home and lovely hosts :)
We felt so comfortable in Benoit's humble home. He allowed us to drop our things off so we can tour the city that day. The house was clean and cozy. I really enjoyed my time on the deck. The house was everything we expected and more!
A really nice host, Benoit, his friend and mojo were really great people to hang out.
it is a great place, very comfortable and just what we were looking for a very good rate.
