1 Master Bedroom in our beautiful Park Slope duplex apartment with huge deck and trees in a 100-year old wood-shingled 4-story home. Near F, N/R, Prospect Park, gourmet restaurants. Great down-time for in between visiting friends and New York City.
You will have 1 peaceful, sunny-room with queen size bed overlooking a tree-filled backyard. There is also a small futon couch that can be opened out on the floor for a young child or baby.
You will be near the F,G,N, and R trains which can bring you to downtown or midtown in 25 to 35 minutes. You will also be near Prospect Park and Celebrate Brooklyn free concerts. A variety of up-scale, down-scale and ethnic restaurants, boutiques/shopping are in walking distance -- from one to several blocks. There is an inexpensive laundry service (or self-serve) at the end of the block with very friendly owners. You'll never want to do your own laundry again :)
This place is a gem and a great find for anyone who wants to sight-see New York and then retreat to a spacious and comfortable home for some downtime.
Our housemate, Carolyn, and her delightful (yes, it's true) 3-year old son will host you while we are gone. She is a full-time journalist and is often out with her son on the weekends. You will have the apartment to yourself much of the time except at dinner time and some periods during the weekends.
Our 2nd floor common space has wide wood plank floors, bathroom #1, kitchen opening out onto the dining room and living room, a separate kids space, a kid's climbing wall up to a nook, and a (not-fancy) piano. Our deck off the dining room has table for 6, lounge chair and barbeque. On the 2nd floor is bathroom #2, this airbnb master bedroom in the back, and Carolyn's bedrooms in the front.
I'm from northern California and went to UC Berkeley. I love the cultural opportunities in New York City, especially the outdoor concerts, theatre, and movies during the summer months.
