The space
Conveniently located on the A359 equi-distant between the towns of Bruton and Frome (4.5 miles) and only a 25 min pretty drive into Bath, The Barn at Tilleys cottage is set on the edge of the pretty village on wanstrow. perfectly suited for the one night business stay or weekend break.

Guests have sole use of the barn which includes bedroom with king size bed and clothes storage which is immediately off the living room.

Living room with TV /dvd player. A selection of dvds and local interest books can be found in a basket.

Kitchen area with table for 2. Combi microwave, one ring induction hob, toaster, kettle. Slowcooker.

Located in the old stable yard away from the road there is plenty of parking and The Barn has its own outside table and chairs although guests are more than welcome to use the cottage gardens.
Dogs are welcome and bowls and dog beds can be provided although we ask that they are kept to the Barns garden area.
We offer a travel cot for guests bringing a baby/toddler although space in the bedroom is limited there is plenty of room in the living room directly off the bedroom and are happy to deal with any special requests made in advance. The Barn has off road parking.
The Barn is also perfect for those working in the area requiring just a one night, in/out stay during the week or for those seeking an easy place to stay whilst exploring the area.
Additional services offered are meals prepared and left simmering for you in a slow cooker plus as a fully qualified massage therapist I can offer a full range or messahe treatments.
We have horses just a 5 min walk up the lane and have the facilities available if you would like to bring your horse and explore the local area on horseback at extra cost.

Looking forwards to meeting you soon!

Guest access
Guests have sole use of The Barn and are given a key to come and go as they please. Full use of the cottage gardens and lawn area. Although I do ask that dogs are kept off the lawn (fully enclosed and kept dog free so its a nice area for children to play on). The main cottage gardens have seating areas which are lovely to sit with a drink and a book. We also have horses and ponies a short stroll up the lane and guests are welcome to take a wander up to say hello.

Other things to note
We live in a very rural area on the edge of a small village where we don't receive super fast Internet. However we have recently updated the Internet to The Barn and it now has its own Internet supply rather than sharing the cottage Internet. Hopefully this will improve the Internet experience for our guests although due to the rural nature of the property I still warn guests that the Internet may not be what they are used to but I am afraid that is out of my hands.

Wanstrow is a quiet peaceful and pretty village complete with fishing lake and the King William pub just a short walk from The Barn. However with Covid restrictions the pub is only open at limited times which are currently whenever they feel like opening! . However there are very good pubs serving fantastic food in the two neighbouring villages both dog friendly and within a few minutes drive. . Close to stunning walks and surrounded by beautiful scenery, national trust and forestry commission land.

During your stay
I am generally available and love to spend time with my guests. Some of my favourite eves have been spent with a glass of wine learning about each others lives, however I am aware that some guests enjoy their quiet time and wont foist myself upon you! On a professional note I am also a fully trained massage therapist and am able to offer a full range of massage therapies to guests on site.
