The furniture is a combination of new pieces, including a queen-sized bet and a loveseat, and some great used finds. There is also an HD television with DISH programming, a Blue Ray player, and wireless internet.
**Weekly and monthly rates are seasonal.
There is a separate entrance to the studio with guest parking in the alley. The guest house is separated from the main house by a privacy fence.

Three bus lines and a major bike route are close by, and just four blocks away there is a stop for Tucson's new streetcar, which travels to the U. of A., 4th Avenue, and downtown, where there are many great restaurants and entertainment.

The neighborhood was great, house was beautiful, and Denise was kind enough to have coffee and breakfast snacks on hand to get the holiday started. I would rent from her in a heartbeat. Highly recommended and a great alternative for those considering a long term holiday in Tucson. Great location as well, close to downtime university area and 4th Street.
Denise greeted us when we arrived and made us feel at home. She showed us around and provided helpful information about Sunny Studio. She was so kind as to give us some tips of where to go and what to see in Tucson. Although we were on the go most of the week, Denise was always available when we needed anything.
Our experience in Denise's studio was amazing. She was there to greet us when we arrived, and gave us a tour of all the unit and all its amenities. The studio is very comfortable, with everything you would need. The location is perfect, very central within the city of Tucson in a very tranquil, historic neighborhood. I will soon be living in Tucson, and this unit will be the first and only place I recommend to future visitors for a comfortable stay in the area. Highly recommended!
I arrived a little earlier than expected, but Denise was waiting for me at the door. She showed me my parking space, the gate to the studio courtyard, and all of the amenities of the studio. It was just perfect for my needs - walking distance to the University, quiet, private, wifi, and a very useable little kitchen. I will certainly try to stay at the studio again during my frequent trips to Tucson.
I stayed at Denise's studio on two separate occasions within a short time, and enjoyed my experience immensely. Everything was in its place and hassle-free, which was perfect for me, as I was in town for a workshop at the UofA and wanted a place that I could return to and relax. And, well, I got what I wanted - the space is gorgeous, the location enviable, and Denise was the perfect host. Now if only I could find a place like this back in Boston...
This was the perfect place from whence to experience Tucson, Arizona.
It's smack in the heart of the city's Sam Hughes District, a five-minute walk to the U of A campus and a 10-to-15-min light-rail ride to Tucson's suddenly enjoyable Downtown/4th Ave. Could not possibly ask for a better locale.
In terms of the place itself, it was peaceful, included all key amenities and had a sharp desert decor. My GF was especially feeling the turquoise trim. Comfy bed, good water pressure in the shower and a small loft to climb up to for a change of scene inside the spacious studio.
Denise was very accommodating, waiting for us to make it to the place despite a several hour delay at the airport that pushed back our arrival time. Per extra niceties, she also provided some ice-cold water in jugs, Netflix and an impressive amount of info on the ins and outs of the spot and pamphlets on the surroundings.
It was a great experience and we'd absolutely book the room the next time we're in Tucson!
The studio is in a great location close to the university, it is very clean, comfortable and it keeps cool during the day and at night. The backyard is great for breakfast and for relaxing. Denise is a great host and provides lots of great tips all of which are summarized in a folder. We had a great time here and will definitely come back. I highly recommend this studio!
About the Host, Denise
I am a native Arizonan, which is rare around here, and I have lived in Tucson for many years. I don't think I could ever leave our beautiful desert for good, but I love to travel to greener, wetter places. I especially love the ocean. I am sem-retired, working part-time as a reading teacher in an elementary school. One of my main interests for quite a few years has been renovating my 1930 home and the detached guesthouse. I am excited about listing the guesthouse on Airbnb, and I look forward to renting it to fellow travelers. Joseph, my partner, will be assisting me in this new venture.
