Top floor apartment in one of the oldest and loveliest parts of London, 5 mins from Farringdon and Chancery Lane tube stations. On a characteristic street, within walking distance of many of London's top sites, and close to shops, bars and some of the City's best restaurants. The street has a market from 9am - 3pm weekdays, but there is very little noise at night.
The flat has one double bedroom, a separate sitting room, bathroom and kitchen. Best of all is the large private roof terrace - with great views over London rooftops and home-grown tomatoes galore.
The flat comes with wifi, a flat screen TV, DVD, Freeview channels, and ipod dock. Overall a great place to stay and enjoy your time in London!
The area has fantastic transportation links; Chancery Lane underground station gives you access to the Central, which goes directly to some of London's most famous sights, including Oxford Circus (4 minutes), Marble Arch (7 minutes), and Notting Hill (13 minutes). Farringdon Station gives you access to a further 3 underground lines, Metropolitan, Circle, and Hammersmith and City Line. These lines give you quick and easy access to both Liverpool Street Station and Kings Cross/St Pancras from where you can catch trains and buses to many of London's major airports.
This apartment is the perfect combination of homey and welcoming. It's cozy and warm, and really centrally located.
Hannah was a fantastic host—considerate and responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in London.
Flat was clean and cozy, both centrally and conveniently located close to public transport. Hannah was a great host providing guidance and help throughout the weekend ensuring our stay was an enjoyable one.
Hannah's flat is absolutely gorgeous: a charming living room, a confortable doublebed, a nice bathroom and kitchen...it has everything one needs and the location is also very good with cafes and pubs close to it. Hannah was also very helpful and kind. I definitely recommend this place! Thank you Hannah
My girlfriend and I stayed here 2 nights while attending a wedding in central London, it was very conveniently positioned and handy to the tube and overland at Farringdon.
Unfortunately the flat was rather dirty and cluttered. The bed was also very small for two people.
We felt cheated that we were charged a cleaning fee when the place wasn't clean to start with.
Overall not very happy.
This is a great flat! I came to visit my company's headquarters and was conveniently right around the corner.
absolutely loved the place, very cosy and tidy. it truly gave me a feeling of home away from home . the host is really nice and helpful that she even helped me as i left my stuff in her place! transportation was fine and there is access to all the basic needs. the balcony was amazing and chilled. highly recommend it!
We had a very nice time in Hannah's flat. It is very well located, the area is lively during the day but quiet at night and during the week-ends, and there's no lack of transportation that will take you everywhere else in London.
The flat itself is quaint with its wrapped floors and it is true that the bed is a little small, but we found it very charming overall.
We had such an excellent time! Hannah communicated regularly to make sure that everything went as planned and when there was a minor hiccup in the beginning she was flexible and proactive. We did not actually meet Hannah in person, but she was the model of efficiency even when not there in person.
We met a wonderful couple who own the coffee shop across the street from her place. We were in town from Germany and my husband accidentally ordered our morning coffee in German and the man behind the counter laughed and replied in German! The couple lived in Germany for a spell before returning to London and we had an excellent time chatting with them about their experiences both in German and in London (and a number of other places as well).
Hannah's place is on the top floor so keep that in mind. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, but it is central London after all so this should surprise no one. The building is somewhat old, but with considerable charm and in a very convenient and interesting location. The apartment is efficient with a number of small rooms, all well taken care of and clearly well loved. The place was just perfect for us. Not a single complaint and I highly recommend it.
The husband and I were in town for meetings at University of London and City University and her location was convenient for both places. We aren't really touristy types so I can't say as to whether or not it is convenient as to any other locations, but there were at least three bus lines within a block or two of her place and at least two tube stations (Piccadilly and Central lines, at the least) within a 15 minute walk.
We look forward to saying here if we find ourselves back in London!
Great place to stay. Didn't meet Hannah, but she took care of everything and I had a very pleasant time.
A wonderful little flat, very cozy, and very very well placed. I'll want to stay again for sure, and felt welcome and at home. Hannah made me feel welcome, and made a long trip easier. London looks great from the terrace garden. Thanks!
