The house has two well-appointed private bedrooms with queen-sized beds (sleeps 4), a spacious living room with picture window & working fireplace, a breakfast area that seats 4, a large kitchen with ample counter tops, dishwasher & top-of-the-line appliances, a wonderful front porch for relaxing and one bathroom featuring vintage tile & fixtures with a shower/tub.
Airy high ceilings, tasteful artwork and hardwood floors throughout the house make it a lovely space for when you are home. The screened-in dining porch (seats 10), very large fenced-in backyard and charcoal grill make it perfect for entertaining.
The house is also officially licensed as a short-term rental.

The house is located on a quiet street in the Barton Springs/Zilker neighborhood. This area is very pedestrian-friendly: you can walk to Zilker Park, Auditorium Shores and Lady Bird Lake, shop on South Lamar or visit one of the many South Austin restaurants, coffee shops, bars or music venues in the neighborhood. Only moments away from the intersection of Barton Springs Road and South Lamar Boulevard, this is a perfect place to stay while visiting Austin.
Going farther? You are just moments away from major bus stops, several bike rental shops and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. If you plan ahead, you can sign up for Car2Go and their cars are never far from the house. You're only 1.7 miles from the Convention Center, 1.0 miles from Whole Foods and 0.6 miles from Lady Bird Lake. There’s also a full driveway and plenty of free street parking at the house for you and your friends to park your cars.

Pets are allowed. The house has a fenced-in back yard and dog doors for your convenience.
Keys will be provided at check-in time and must be returned at check-out. Individual keys can be issued for up to 4 guests. Full refund of security deposit is contingent on return of all keys.
This was our third time staying in Austin and this has by far been our favorite house to stay in. The large screened in porch sold us. The house is roomy and we really enjoyed our stay. Whenever we had a question or concern, our host was quick to repaint. There are a ton of restaurants and stores close to the house. Overall, great experience!
Michelle's Home is simply beautiful! Reminded me of a Dwell's Magazine cover. Spacious & super-comfortable! Located in a prime area and walking distance to town. I would most certainly recommend this place to business travelers or a family assisting any of the many tourist options Austin has to offer.

This house was absolutely perfect and great for my stay in Austin on business. It is in a quiet neighborhood with wonderful amenities. Truly felt like a home.
Everything worked out great! The house was exactly as described (more spacious if anything) and had really nice touches like the mason jar drinking glasses and the vintage toaster. The enclosed deck with the hanging chair was a super nice touch as well.
The house is exactly like in pics. Lovely and comfortable. Great neighborhood, close to some great restaurants and a cheap uber ride to downtown. Wished we could enjoy Ilker park but was way too cold to do outdoorsy things when we were which was really sad given the options.
Only caveat is for light sleepers. The train goes by and woke me up a few times in the middle of the night as did the birds. In the early morning. Wear ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise a wonderful stay!
Michelle's house is spacious and comfortable with attractive furnishings, posters and a great selection of books. The neighborhood is pleasant and convenient to Zilker Park and even has a new Alamo Drafthouse in walking distance. Great screened patio and yard. Michelle was quick with responses to any questions and checking in to the house (even after a late night flight) was simple.
Small aspects that could be improved--both bedrooms are large and attractive but the master bed mattress and frame was pretty creaky so my wife and I switched to the other bedroom for better sleep after the first night. The one shower/tub oddly has a built in storage cabinet above it; I'm average height but only had about 3 inches clearance over my head and had to bend to get under the shower head. Someone 6"2 or taller wouldn't be able to stand up fully in there.
The most charming 2bedroom house in the most central location. Great kitchen, space, space and more space/ the lot is huge and screened dinning area could be an ideal live in 24/7 space. Can't wait to rent here again!
