Interaction with Guests
I love to get to talk to the guests and offer any advice on travel and dining experiences. I work part time so I am often out through the day or evenings so you have the place to yourself.
The location is very peaceful and quiet, on the sunny side of the lake with gorgeous views of the lake and over to the gondola and mountains. (If you are into late night partying in town this is not the place for you unless you take a cab). There is a large garden very private and sundeck with table and chairs to relax. The walking track around the lake is just a few doors away. It is a very safe and friendly location.
Bus transport to town is available early morning till 8:50 then again 11:50 then every few hours until 5.50. The water taxis which are so much fun run from 10.30pm from here every 2 hours on return trips and the last is 10pm from town. I am able to assist if there is a need outside of these hours as I work in town. The airport is very close only a 5 minute drive and the buses run regularly to Frankton Hub where you can change to a Kelvin Heights bus or go into town. The shopping centre and New World supermarket is at Remarkables Park Centre and the bus goes there before going to Frankton Bus centre so you may get off, do your shopping and catch the bus to Frankton Bus Centre to connect to Kelvin Heights.
Other Things to Note

I stayed 5 nights with Adi. The room is small but very quit. You have a beautiful view of the lake.
Adi is lovely & considerately person and she give you many recommendations about Queenstown.
I enjoyed the time with her.
Adi was a terrific host. She was most helpful for suggestions about town and for helping to catch the water taxi to and from her place.
Her place is an excellent place to stay, very quiet but an awesome view of the lake. Easy to take the water taxi to the downtown area as well
The bed was very comfortable and Adi was quick to see if there was anything I needed during my stay.
Adi was the perfect host welcoming and friendly. She has a beautiful home, very cosy and comfortable, and a beautiful disposition to match. Adi offered lots of helpful advice enabling me to enjoy my visit to the Queenstown area and my stay with her all the more enjoyable.
Aid was very Kind. The Acomondation is a very nice place. With the breakfast you fell very at home. Thanks for having me.
Adi was such a lovely host, sharing her home with me - the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Adi kindly left instructions and information about the area and getting around, which was very helpful. Her beautiful home is situated in such a fantastic location! I would love to stay there again - it was so relaxing.
If you are in queenstown and was to stay in a beautiful, calm and charming place look no further. It's very easy to take the water taxi from the pier to Adis house. Adi is a very sweet host and extremely hospitable! I would go back there next time I go to Queenstown.
My stay at Adi's was absolutely wonderful. Her home is bright, comfortable, welcoming, and clean. The view of Lake Wakatipu from the bedroom is incredible! The house is located outside central Queenstown but easily accessible via water taxi (you get picked up from a beautiful dock less than 5 min from the house and get to enjoy a lovely ride on the lake), bus (bus stop less than 5 min from house), or car (about a 10 min drive).
Adi herself made the experience even better. Her company is so lovely and her hosting style has forever spoiled me for future bookings. She is laid back and accommodating, offers useful tips, supplies for breakfast, and anything else you may need help with. I feel fortunate she had openings when I was town and would love to stay with her again during my next visit to beautiful Queenstown.
About the Host, Adi
New Zealand is a great place to live and I have had the the opportunity to grow up in the far north by the sea and enjoyed swimming, fishing, sailing and the best of food. For most of my life I lived in Auckland which is the largest city in NZ and my career was in office management. Later in life I enjoyed being involved with classic yachts and had many happy times with great people. I am a lover of the arts - paint a little, work in an art gallery, adore most types of music (from classical to reggae,) movies and reading. My family are all foodies and are good cooks. I am a devoted grandmother and mother and my family bring me heaps of pleasure and fun. I have travelled a lot throughout NZ and the rest of the world and hope to do more - Italy being my favourite destination. The architecture inspires me to paint. I am even confident to travel alone if necessary. I moved to Queenstown in 2010 and think it has to be the best place in the world. There is such a buzz about Queenstown with so many adventures to be had, the scenery is breathtaking, and everyone is so happy! It is easy to be at peace with the world in such a special place - come join us.
