Unique back yard cottage apartment in Belmont with shiplap walls, wood floors, a 10x20 deck, kitchen with frig, dw, w/d; comfy & efficient. Situated between tall wood fence and cypress trees, it feels quiet and private. More suitable for 1 to 2 guests, but happy to accommodate 4 "good" :) friends (bathroom access is thru the bedroom). 10 min to airport, 15 min to Whitewater Center, 20 min to downtown Charlotte, 5 min to downtown Belmont bars, restaurants and shops; walk to park and boat landing.

The space
The apartment is on the 2nd floor and does have stairs for access. The bed in bedroom is a queen; the sofa bed upstairs is a queen. All linens are provided as well as hairdryer, and a keurig coffee maker with some pods, creamer and sweetener. We have samples of bath toiletries in case you forgot to pack them. The space has wifi and cable tv. Any other needed accommodations, just ask.

Where you’ll be

Belmont, North Carolina, United States

Historic Belmont is a bedroom community across the Catawba River from Charlotte. There are sidewalks all the way to Main Street (15 to 20 min walk), where you'll find several bars and restaurants, unique shops and a park with a fountain. Also within walking distance are 2 other parks, soccer fields, and public boat launch.
The neighborhood is a combination of renovated mill houses and new construction.

...and my husband is Richard. We've been hosting a few years and love it. I work full time in 'data,' and my husband is a carpenter/builder. He likes putting a unique spin on anything and everything, so if you notice a sarcastic sign in a corner that (hopefully) makes you laugh, he did it. :) Hosting has allowed us to talk with people from all over the country, and even across the pond. There are many wonderful people traveling around, and being a host makes life a little sweeter. Happy travels.
