Your own bathroom is right next door and is filled with soft light from a sky light. You may share the bathroom if there is a guest in the other bedroom. We will provide towels and shower items like soap, shampoo and conditioner etc. It has a shower, tub and medicine cabinet to store your items.
Come and sit on the porch swing and enjoy the quiet and the view of ducks quacking playfully in the pond as the wind rustles the trees and wind chimes.

a 5 min ride to the Interstate 26 and 15 minutes to Harbison Blvd with shopping and dining options, 25 minutes to downtown Columbia. We also have wifi but it's not super fast and can be a little spotty, as it comes from our guest house, front porch has the best access...
Interaction with Guests
We always try our best to be home when you arrive. We are busy people, and on the weekends we like to be home and have friends over Saturday nights. If you catch us at a less busy time, we love to get to know our guests! We use airbnb when we travel, and we know how great it is to have a local's insight into the area. We're here to help make your visit to Columbia as great as possible!
We love hosting and have hosted over a hundred people and have 70 positive reviews from our old house. We moved to our new home here in White Rock/Chapin in December 2013.
Our neighborhood has around 20 families, and tons of land. We love that while our neighborhood is rural and quiet, we're still just a hop, skip, and a jump away from "civilization," from all the stores you'll need :)
Just down the road a couple minutes is a Walmart, many fast food and pizza places and a good 50's burger joint, Highway 55. Also, our favorite local Mexican place, El Poblano has really fresh and quality ingredients and is super close to the house. There is also a very nice locally owned Italian place that would be a good date place just up the road.
You'll need a car to get around...
We will do our best to be home when you arrive although it is not always possible. We will give you instructions about the key in case we're not available. We have two cats, the white one (Jessie) and the black one (Kevin) are indoor/outdoor. Jessie is not very friendly and has recently started nipping my ankles when she wants to go outside. Kevin is friendly but skiddish with loud noises or voices.
Please no smoking in or near the house. We've had problems in the past with ashes left in the trashcan and strong lingering smells because of that. Thank you!
Let us know if you need coffee or tea or some breakfast. You can just put your used dishes in the sink or the dishwasher.
Please treat everything and everyone with respect while you are with us, and if you need anything, please ask. Make yourself at home, truly!
