Cozy Cabin, Best Value in Columbia

House - Private room · Joe Free Road, Chapin, SC 29036, United States

The Space

Welcome! Your room comes with a new and comfortable queen bed, a view of our beautiful land and pond, a ceiling fan and a walk-in closet for your luggage.

Your own private bathroom is right next door and is filled with soft light from a sky light. We will provide towels and shower items like soap, shampoo and conditioner etc. It has a shower and tub.

What is not included:
TV, but we have a screen that you can watch DVD's on in the living room (Seinfeld, The Office, lots of movies).

There are two sides or sections of the house, each with their own living rooms. The side with your bedroom closes off from the kitchen with french doors for your privacy.

Our 3 BR ranch style house is on 6 acres of land, covered in hard wood trees and bamboo with a pond view and 1,000 square feet of outdoor decking. Around our house are low traffic roads, great for a run or a refreshing walk. We are located in White Rock which is 5 minutes from 1-26.

Just down the road a couple minutes is a Walmart, many fast food and pizza places and a good 50's burger joint, Highway 55. Also, our favorite local Mexican place, El Poblano has really fresh and quality ingredients and is super close to the house.

There is plenty of space to park your car, camper, etc in our loop driveway. There is no public transportation near by. However, we have assisted other guests in the past and may be able to help, so please communicate with us!

We have an outside fenced kennel, with barn shelter that is perfect for your traveling furry friend, dog, horse etc...We are also open to having pets inside, please let us know.

We love hosting and have hosted over a hundred people and have 70 positive reviews from our old house. We moved to our new home here in White Rock/Chapin in December 2013.

Come and sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet and the view of ducks quacking playfully in the pond as the wind rustles the trees and wind chimes.

  • Daniel and Corrie's home is beautiful, warm, clean and lovely! Even though due to our opposite schedule is only met them both briefly they were kind and so welcoming. I loved staying in their home and would highly recommend to anyone :-)

  • Wonderful home, wonderful hosts. Daniel and Corrie's home is neat, clean, and comfortable. Daniel and Corrie were very welcoming and provided everything we needed for a comfy and restful stay. We were in town for a soccer tournament and our only regret was that we weren't able to stay longer.

  • A most excellent experience. My entire family (hubs/mom/sister) traveled to SC for a wedding.

First off, Daniel and Corrie were extremely responsive to queries, which was helpful in planning.

They were extremely flexible with us given that Mother Nature decided to gift the Southeast with a Winter Storm resulting in 2 cancelled flights before we made it to SC.

The home was simply gorgeous, clean and welcoming and their hospitality was wonderful. The home was easily accessible terms of in location and coming and going. We had everything we needed in terms of bedding, towels, toiletries and breakfast.

    Would most definately stay again!

  • Corrie and Daniel's home is cozy, and they are very welcoming hosts. This was the second time I've stayed there, and I had a wonderful experience both times. They were also very accommodating with me when my travel plans changed due to some crazy winter weather in Columbia (if you are travelling in from out of town, no worries, the weather here is usually very nice!). I would highly recommend staying with them!

  • Corrie and Daniel are excellent hosts. We've stayed with them a number of times. They have recently moved into an amazing new home and the experience was even better than ever. Lovely home on a large property that overlooks a pond and lots of wildlife. You will love your stay. Super comfy bed too. Love it. We'll be back again and again.

I, Corrie, am an ESL teacher here at a local university. I teach every weekday at USC. My husband, Daniel is a youth director at our church. He meets up with people for coffee and plays lots of sports with the students. We were English teachers in a small village outside of Beijing for a year in 2011. We are well traveled and love to show hospitality to travelers and passersby.
