The Space

Share a piece of our paradise by staying in the master suite of our lovely two story Kailua home only a block from one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Sleep in the master bedroom's comfy king size bed with the trades winds gently blowing through the room and wake to the smoothing sounds of singing birds. The room has a sitting area, private bath, airconditioning, flat screen TV with cable, and wireless internet. We are happy to share our family's laundry room, kitchen and outdoor living spaces with guests. Access to the room is via the common area of the main house.

After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and relax with a cool drink or use the grill in our patio tiki bar.

The house is a quick walk to one of the world's most beautiful beachs and a 10 min walk into Kailua town. Kailua is a great small town with cute shops, good restaurants, and lots of hiking and water sport activities.

Surf and stand up paddle boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and towels are available for your use. Our nieghborhood is quiet and laid back. And... our two dogs, a mini dacshund named Maddie, and her pal Lilly, the sweetest blue nosed pit, will make you always welcome and loved!

  • An amazing comfortable bed in a beautiful clean room. Lovely friendly family and fell in love with the dogs. The only minus I can think of is the lack of bedside tables and breakfast. Didn't really bother us though, thanks for a welcoming stay.

  • Staying with Beth was like staying with family... no wait.. better than staying with family! They made us feel so welcome in their home! Beth made us delicious muffins in the mornings and sitting outside talking with them in the evenings was as laid back and comfortable as being with old friends. Their pups were sweet as could be too! We will definitely be back! Thanks guys!!

  • I almost hesitate to write a glowing review because I selfishly want to keep this wonderful place available to the next time I come here :) Beth and John have such a lovely, immaculately clean home and I loved every minute of my stay. Mahalo for a great find and a most relaxing stay. I'll definitely be back!

  • My partner and I stayed at Beth's lovely home for five days and were very happy, it was paradise and the best part of our trip. Beth and her family were very friendly and helped us feel right at home with anything we needed, beach towels, town advice, quick routes to airport. We used the kitchen and Beth was clear that it was quick meals only but very nice about it and allowed us to use the coffee machine and most mornings she made muffins for us. The beach is super close and one of our favorite beaches in the East anytime of the day, town is within walking distance and safe to get around in even on foot at night.

The room we stayed in was upstairs towards the back, the only noise we heard were people in the garden bar at night and some traffgic noise from the road on the left, other than that it was peaceful. The bed was a huge four poster and when you lay on it you feel like you are sinking into it, super soft and comfy. I had so many good sleeps and naps on it. The room was never hot and stuffy, nice sea breeze and the fan works well over the bed. Bathroom was equiped with Shampoo and night light, towels and the room had a fridge which was handy. A draw full of maps and business cards of local ventures was helpful and we found driving from Beth's to he tourist stuff and to Wakikki very easy with a map and not far.

Great cosy room with everything we needed, friendly family and pets, wonderful location far enough from town and crazy Wakikki and only a 30 minute drive to the airport.

Would reccomend Beth's place to anyone, lovely hosts and family and very relaxing and modern home. We will stay again, we were sad to leave ! Thanks so much again Beth for contributing to our perfect holiday in paradise.

  • This turned out to be the perfect place for me to land after a long day's travel. Beth and her husband were very helpful and friendly, and made me feel perfectly at home in their kitchen and in their home. The room was immaculate and spacious, and the beach across the street was wonderful. Kailua is a neat town, very different from the Honolulu hubbub. I'd definitely recommend.

    Response from Beth:

Unfortunately, Chikako must not have read that my family resides in the main house where the master suite is located. We share our lovely home with guests staying in the master suite. Sadly, her stay with us occurred during two for our rainiest days. The majority of homes on Oahu have solar water heaters and in 2014 solar is required in all new home construction. :) usually, we have plenty plenty of hot water for guests! Her visit also fell on the Super Bowl weekend. Our TV was definitely on. #footballfans

  • Beth and John's place is very close to the most incredible beach. They are lovely hosts and made us feel part of the family. Their place is so clean and very reasonably priced. They let us use their beach towels and chairs which was great. Cook in their kitchen and Beth even made muffins some mornings. We definitely plan on coming back to their place to stay.

  • Staying at a suite piece of paradise was wonderful in every aspect. Beth and John were welcoming and helpful during our first visit to Hawaii. Their place is within a short walk to a gorgeous beach and the town was one of our favorites overall. Thanks very much for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

  • Beth was a great host, the room was lovely and exactly as described. She showed my partner and I the quickest way to walk (and it is really close) to the amazingly beautiful beach, and provided beach towels and even boogie boards!

I am one of the luckiest women around. I live in a beautiful spacious home in Kailua, Hawaii, one block from the beach, with my awesome husband John and two exceptional teenagers. We love to "talk story" (the Hawaiian slang term for chatting) with interesting people, spending time together at the beach and watching football - we're (email hidden) Cardinals fans! I spend my free time in my garden, reading great books, hiking or walking the beach with my dogs, and baking/cooking yummy things. Kailua is a lovely town. I'd love to share our piece of paradise with you! Warmest Aloha Beth
