The space
PLEASE NOTE: This Airbnb Listing is THE one and only official online listing of our Song Farm Guesthouse in Winnsboro, TX. It has come to our attention that there is AI-generated content floating around out there filled with errors, old photos and misinformation about our guesthouse (things like "no Wi-Fi" eek! to news of us having survived a tornado -- NOT TRUE thank God!) So be careful out there in the increasingly mis-informed world.

Heads up! We welcome longer-term stays as well as short stays. Ask about special pricing in your Inquiry. We generally do not host children, teens or pets unless you have an emotional support companion animal. However, we do sometimes make exceptions. Tell us your story when you send your Inquiry, and we'll see if we're a good match or not. Please do tell us about your pet when you send your Inquiry.

The Song Farm Guesthouse (which, by the way, is completely private and out of view of any neighbors including us - your hosts!) sits at the eastern edge of our 18-acre home, in a rural area known as Pineview. Winnsboro is far enough east of the DFW Metroplex (and west of Shreveport and Texarkana) that you can feel those deep calming breaths coming easier the closer you get to the Guesthouse. Plus, our private pond and trails (the surrounding beauty and peacefulness) are what make our place special. We have a fine old metal fishing boat and oars. Also a couple of kayaks, and a couple of canoes and a pedal boat that works great for fishing, as well as morning coffee cruising.

With a sprawling yard in all directions, and backed up to the woods and trails surrounding our pond, the Guesthouse has its own private driveway. Ample parking, and a carport that gets used mostly as a covered porch for coming and going via a concrete house-entry ramp. No step.

If fishing calls your name, the pond is home to bass, blue gill and crappie. It is a catch-and-release situation here re: our bigger bass. But if you're up to cleaning and cooking the fish -- you're welcome to catch and eat any bluegill, crappie or smaller bass. There's a small grill at the guesthouse. Please bring your own charcoal and fishing gear (though we do have some random fishing poles and tackle to share).

If you're a birder or forestry nerd, the lush trails are accompanied by the soothing sound of the wind in the pines. And all sorts of feathered friends (and other critters) either live here year-round or migrate through. Bring your binoculars or we're happy to loan you a pair of ours.

The greatest amenity at the Song Farm Guesthouse: peace and quiet. Occasional passing traffic, but the house is tucked back considerably from the road, and there's not a bad view from any side of the house.

Operative color: GREEN. Mother Nature welcomes you with open arms.

MORE ABOUT THE REST OF YOUR SPACE HERE: With just enough indoor space to relax and feel at home, the house is a one-story, wooden pier-and-beam structure with room heating and air conditioning.

Simply and comfortably furnished room to room and decorated with a light hand in the bedrooms to keep them restful. Queen-sized beds (one in each of the two bedrooms) feature quality mattresses with crisp white sheets, plus blankets and comforters (laundered in Free & Clear type detergent) and allergy-friendly pillows (no feathers).

Enjoy our photo tour here on our Airbnb listing, and once you read through our rules and such, reach out with any questions or concerns.

We're pleased to be of service as your hosts.

Lynn (primary contact) and hubby, Lindy

Spring 2026

P.S. Thank you in advance for choosing the Song Farm Guesthouse for your stay!

Guest access
As our guests (whether longer-term or short-term), you have complete run of the house and immediate surrounds. (To be clear, you won't be sharing the Guesthouse space with anyone else.)

On the day of or day before your arrival we'll send you clear instructions regarding exact physical address and instructions on how to enter the house.

As stated elsewhere, you'll have your own driveway, and plenty of places to park - including the covered carport should you chose to use the space that way as opposed to it being a big covered back porch looking down to the water. There is a ceiling fan on the carport, so thank you for taking care to observe the height of your vehicle before you pull into that space to unload or park. Thanks!

Once you're here, refer to the Song Farm Map in our Guesthouse Guidebook for which parts of the lakeside trails are open to you to explore. Let us know if you'd like to fish, kayak or peddle boat on the pond. That can be arranged.

We've created a private spot for you to enjoy along the trail down by the water's edge of our serene eight-acre pond directly down the wooded slope behind the Guesthouse.

Other things to note
1. We're husband-wife singer-songwriters known as Adler & Hearne (your host is Lynn Adler and hubby Lindy Hearne cheers her on). We named our home the Spring Hollow Organic Song Farm 25 years ago. Thus the name of our Airbnb listing the Song Farm Guesthouse. So yes, we're musical, but YOU don't have to be musical to enjoy a stay here. Just so you know.

2. Our guesthouse wi-fi recently upgraded to fiber optic strength; plenty adequate for being on your laptop, texting, streaming TV. If you're staying for 10 days or more and have particularly demanding wi-fi work needs - let us know. We'll happily upgrade to accommodate you.

3. We welcome longer-term rentals up to 13 weeks long (i.e. travel nurses, professionals working remotely, etc.), and even longer rentals (like former guests who've called our guesthouse home while they built a house for a year, or hunted for one for 7 months). Don't hesitate to send an Inquiry re: how to receive a Special Offer from us for your longer-stay needs. Also, send us a message if you'd like to get on our waiting list to be next in line for a longer-term stay.

4. As we've mentioned elsewhere, we are open to hosting your sweet well-behaved older emotional-support dog or cat. (Note: So sorry, but we still do not host children or teens. Please tell us about your pet when you send your Inquiry.)

5. As your hosts, our goal is to facilitate your ideal stay as best we can. If you don't want any more personal interaction than necessary, we'll honor that. But if you want to chat or have questions about what to do in town, we'll point you in the directions you want to go.

6. We have a booming booth biz (Vendor #83) in the Winnsboro antique mall called Finders Keepers on Main. Store hours are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We hope you'll come in and do some treasure hunting. We specialize in stringed musical instruments and vinyl LPs, Western boots, shirts and jackets, Hawaiian shirts and random quirky finds.

7. P.S. We have some special add-ons like providing you and your party with a private living-room or campfire mini-concert. Or perhaps you'd like a guitar lesson while you're here. Just ask us when you Inquire about your stay.

Neighborhood highlights

The Song Farm Guesthouse is situated along a well-maintained, FM (Farm-to-Market) road in a rural countryside setting 10 miles southeast of Winnsboro, TX. While here, you'll see no neighboring houses (your hosts live down the hill and out of sight too); just a wide-open grassy yard surrounded by woods and trails down to the serene eight-acre private pond.

Through the woods at the back of the house, follow the short trail down to the water's edge. Our guesthouse is a go-to getaway for peace and quiet. For visiting nearby family and friends. And for Winnsboro's famed antiquing and shopping, wining and dining, and connecting to our town's diverse arts offerings. The guesthouse is just 3 miles south of Hwy 11, then a fast 7-mile drive through beautiful hills, farmland and pines to the cozy arts hamlet of Winnsboro, founded as Crossroads in 1854.
