"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion."
~ Henry David Thoreau

Thank you for understanding.
We had a restful time a the cottage. The hosts were very friendly and warm The food provided was fresh and helpful. The cottage is cozy, and the area provided in the house was nice as well. It was a bit tricky walking over to the house to use the bathroom, either at night or in the morning, not knowing who could see us from the house, but the accommodations were fine and we did enjoy our visit. We weren't crazy about the restaurant recommended, but I guess that's a personal preference, it was just more like an Italian Dennys than a nice restaurant. We had some internet connection problems a couple of times, but the host took care of it quickly for us.
Everything about the experience was great! The hosts were extremely hospitable and the accommodations made for a great 3 weeks of intensives at Liberty University. Highly recommend staying here, as it's just as close as hotels to the university, and much cheaper. Thanks for everything, Lisa!
The cottage was inviting, cozy, and beautiful. Lisa had everything that I could possibly hope for to better enjoy my stay away from home. She graciously provided snacks and fresh fruit to make my visit even more welcoming! If you get a chance, take advantage of the hiking trails at Liberty Mountain (only 2 minutes from the cottage). They are the perfect way to unwind from intensives :)
Thanks Lisa and Blessings to you and your family.
Hospitality at its best. Lisa and her husband greeted me at arrival and gave me a tour. Cottage was better than several hotels I've stayed at. Very close to Liberty only a quick 5 minute drive. It was nice and quite so getting work done was a breeze. Would recommend and stay again.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Tiny Cottage for 4 days and loved every minute of our stay. There were great walking and hiking trails within 20 minutes, plenty of restaurant options, and quiet evenings reading in the cabin. I highly recommend the Tiny Cabin to anyone looking to escape for a few days and connect with nature.
Fantastic as usual! Lisa and Steve are the ultimate hosts, and the accommodations are unbeatable. Always look forward to returning. Thanks!
Lisa was an excellent host! She was very friendly and communicative, answering all of our questions about the tiny cottage before we arrived. We were running a little late as we arrived but it was no issue. She greeted us promptly as we arrive and gave us a tour of the property.
She went out of her way to make us feel very welcome, leaving fresh fruit, juice, bread, coffee and tea!
The cottage and downstairs kitchen and living area were just as expected. There were plenty of instructions posted so that we knew what to do with trash, keys, etc.
The kitchen was perfect for cooking and we enjoyed breakfast there both mornings. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had everything we needed... even bright white fluffy towels!
We loved the little cottage and it was a very unique and special place. I would happily stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you, Lisa, for your wonderful hospitality!
