About This Listing
For nature lovers - Great beach home with deserted beach and coral reef just in front. Magical place for family holidays, yoga retreats, workshops or romantic honeymoon in our private beach bungalow.
Our home on Flores is located in Waecicu Bay, right on the beach on 4300 m2 private grounds. 5 double bedrooms with private bathrooms, large living, yoga deck, BBQ area by the beach, boat with captain, crystal clear sea full of coral just in front.
Pazolle'e means 'clean' in Bajo language and Waecicu means ' clean water'.
This beautiful open villa is situated on a hill with 70 meters sandy beachfront on Waecicu Beach. Its design has been made to fit the slope which has resulted in a unique asymmetrical design. For building material we used palm wood native to the surrounding area, the stones from our own land and Alang Alang for our roof, which has been modeled after traditional Flores houses. Our furniture is made of driftwood which we found on beaches at outlying island or washed ashore at Waecicu. The house is a perfect fit in its natural surroundings -.the almost empty beach, the Flores Sea and the lush hills behind - this is the ultimate island getaway.
All 4 bedrooms on the left and right side have king size beds, mosquito nets and spacious en-suite bathrooms and verandas to enjoy the beautiful view. The spacious loft in the right wing has a fifth bedroom and large living with en-suite bathroom on an open platform between the trees. The right and left wing are connected by large living space and open kitchen where you can dine and relax. At night when the moon lights up the trees, the bay and surrounding islands and when you hear the sounds of the Gecko and night birds, you sense the magic of Waecicu Bay.

For those who don't dive snorkelling is the next best thing because there is an abundance of spectacular shallow water coral reefs. On boat-trips to other islands you can often spot turtles, dolphins and manta-rays. Our house is made from wood with the traditional Alang Alang roof, so please be careful with fire.
Also please use our water with care, we depend on watertanks and appreciate if you can be moderate with your showers :)
I can honestly say that this place is magical. You are welcomed with open arms to the house and nothing is too much trouble. The position is breathtaking and literally left us speechless when we arrived. It is easy to do nothing here or enjoy day trips whatever takes your fancy. We stayed in the beach bungalow not the house which gave you a little more privacy if you needed it. You could eat communally or do your own thing. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and will most certainly be back and recommending it to my friends and family. Thank you everyone for making our stay so memorable. After frenetic Bali this was a most welcome rest!

Hello, I'm Nina, mother of two studying daughters. For 23 years have been running an international trading company together with my business partner Katy. In 2010 started to build a non-for-profit organisation for sustainable development of Flores, the island in Indonesia which stole my heart the first time I visited. Travel is my passion and I am very lucky that my jobs brought me to China, Indonesia and many other countries. Am now 100% focussing on further building Eco Flores Foundation. My other passion is Nature, am most happy living in the countryside, spending time in a forest, on deserted beaches, at sea.
Ask me about the things I cannot do without: my kids, friends and family, my pets, my soulmate and....Nature.
I'm easy going and my motto is: Live your dream
