Isolated, cozy one room rustic cabin nestled on a hill in the Pine trees. The Little Cabin offers a Mountain stay only 30 miles from LARAMIE, I-80, 130 and US 287. Seasonal activities i.e., Hiking, Snow Shoeing, Cross Co/Down Hill Skiing, River, Mountain and Plains Lakes fishing with evenings of Star Gazing from the Hot Tub, Gazebo or Little Cabin Patio, offer a sense of being able to Touch the Stars.

The space
Looking to get out...Come stay in Little Cabin and enjoy a beautiful view no matter what window you look out.. Just 30 miles from Laramie, I80 and hwy 287, you’ll be away from home but still nestled away alone. The skies are magnificent. The lack of light pollution makes Star Gazing amazing! There are hiking trails, Public River Accesses, Plains Lakes, Mountain Lakes, Down Hill Skiing, Rock Climbing, Hot Springs and River Rafting, all near by, with the last 2 being the furthest away. Depending on the time of year and weather we can take a RZR ride. There are several spots to accommodate Yoga or Meditation practice. No matter what you’re looking for, a get away to ground and re energize, or an over night travel stop this Little Slice of Heaven will fill your need. Dogs are welcome. Enjoy breakfast in the Little Cabin or the Sun Room. Guest may use the outhouse or the full bath (not shared) in the main cabin, it is fully stocked with all the amenities needed to bathe. There is also sun room by the hot tub that is great for relaxing in and may also be used as a changing room.

Guest access
Guest have access to a full bath in the main cabin (not shared), and are welcome to use the kitchen. sun room and dining area. Guests are welcome to relax on the patio or in the the sun room by the hot tub There is a mini fridge and microwave in the sun room. There is a nice trail leading off of the property on to public land for a nice morning or evening walk. There are several tie outs and a portable fence if needed for fur baby’s. Pets are fine off leash as long as they respond to voice command and stay on the property. (There are neighbors with chickens and horses and lots of wildlife.)

Other things to note
The Little Cabin is accessible year round. There are always the “Big Storms” but for the most part with a 4 wheel, all wheel or front wheel drive and good tires you can get here. We do have a short period of MUD season once weather warms up and spring snows melt.
Please contact me with estimated arrival time, no worries if it changes just shoot me an updated message with time. I like to be here and have my dogs inside. We are 30 miles out with no service so giving me eta allows me to know if there is possibly a problem if you’ve not shown up. We can also arrange to meet and I’ll pick you up if your vehicle is unable to make it up the hill.
As in any mountain community we can experience power outages, NOT OFTEN, but I do have battery operated lights in case, but heat is electric.
ALL linens for bedding, bathing and Hot Tubing are provided.
We love fur babies. If they are used to being loose that is fine as long as they respond to voice command. There is a Chain link, movable Dog pen (will fit small to large dogs.) There are also a tie out(s) if you needed or you prefer.

Location

Albany County, Wyoming, United States

The Little Cabin offers an isolated getaway. A chance to disconnect, recharge and ground yourself in nature. It’s a great place to experience alone or with someone but 2 ADULTS MAX. It is truly a little slice of heaven with the peace and quiet that is so hard to find in today’s technology filled world. I highly recommend down loading Sky View Lite (free version) for star gazing here and any where!
The Little Cabin is 30 miles out of Laramie, WY. About 2 1/2 miles from the Little Cabin there is a restaurant/bar, “Woodslanding”. Hours are seasonal.
Albany Lodge restaurant is about 15 - 18 miles
WY Colo Lodge restaurant is about 12-15 miles
Woodslanding also does some package liquor sales out of the bar.
All 3 have winter/summer hours available on their web sites.
There are several places that sell both gas and liquor on your way out of Laramie.
There’s a butcher shop, The Butcher Block, on your left on Snowy Range as you’re leaving LARAMIE.
You will not have cell service after Soda Green Lake, about 12 miles from Woodslanding, coming from Laramie on hwy 230.
There are a few homes and pets on Bugling Elk Trail, the hill you drive up to the cabin. PLEASE drive slowly and keep sound on radio down. There are two gates you will go thru, if they are closed, they swing DOWN HILL, park back so they can swing open, please shut them behind you. (There are short periods of time during the year the ranchers have their cattle loose during which time gates are closed, other wise gates are open.)
Depending on the season, there is a lot of wild life - birds, chip monks, coyotes, deer that you will see.
There are mountain lions and bear, but they stay up in the mountains. I do ask that guest to keep food and trash in containers provided.
There are no other homes at the top of the hill or beyond so you will only see people if you choose to leave the property.

I love greeting the guests and am available during their stay. I understand different folks wishes on social distancing and am happy to accommodate guests wishes. Coffee and Breakfast are delivered to the Little Cabin or served in the sun room. The sun room next to the hot tub is a great place to relax, eat or dry off/change after hot tubbing if folks don't wish to come in to the main cabin.
