We enjoyed our stay at the jungle house. It was cool enough at night that having no ac wasn't an issue. Puerto Viejo is just a short 10-15 min drive away with many choices to eat. The property managers were very helpful and eager to help us with anything we needed. They also brought us coconuts, bananas etc almost daily. A magical house in a quiet location in the middle of nature.

Lovely villa in the rain forest close to the beach. The host Marco was also amazing with communication before and during the stay. Highly recommended.

This place is incredible. Very clean and very well kept, with a great ambiance. The caretakers are incredibly nice, they do only speak Spanish but it's totally ok because then you can practice your Spanish! Marco is incredibly awesome! Answered all of my questions and had great suggestions of local hot spots! There is wild life all around the house and is a great location, very close to the local town, but also not too far from a slightly bigger town just north! If your looking to stay in this area I HIGHLY suggest this place!! Pura Vida!!

I can not say enough good things about my experience here. Manzanillo is a magical place and I will return here to visit as soon as I can. Marco is great with communicating and Lucy and Fernando are just amazing. My Spanish is weak at best but between my basics and translate we became fast friends. The last night we paid them to cook a meal for us. They cooked the rice and beans over a fire which the kids just loved. Our favorite place in town to eat was Soda Mima! We made use of the bikes for three days which was nice for riding the kids in to town and the beaches. They aren't in the best of shape so I felt the 10$ a day per bike was steep but then again it's better than renting a car. Our favorite beach was at the end of town across the bridge. It's great for snorkeling. Back up the road, playa uva has amazing spots to lounge and very kid friendly waves for swimming. Last but not least, you must keep the windows open to the screens because of the heat. Surprisingly between this and the fans the house stays quite cool. However, If you like to sleep in you have another thing coming! All manner of creatures come alive well before day break and you can hear it all like yours sleeping outside! My favorite part of the house is the porch. Every night we lounged outside till almost midnight listening to the sounds and talking. Almost right on cue as soon as we tucked in to the bed under our nets the rain would come and put us to sleep. My kind of heaven. If you find yourself in Manzanillo, I highly recommend staying With Marco, Lucy and Fernando. You won't be disappointed!

We had a lovely stay in this house, and it was very comfortable! The garden/jungle around was full of life. We saw monkeys, a sloth, hummingbirds and more. The ground keepers were very nice, and offered laundry service. It was about 10 min walking to the beach in Manzanillo. I recommend going further and crossing the small bridge to the park area, there you can find beautiful spots by the sea for yourselves. Didn't meet Marco, but it was easy to communicate by mail and with the ground keepers.
