  • Chris was helpfull and we had a pleasant stay with our children. Netflix was very appreciated .

  • The house was in a great location - close to beach and shopping. The furnishings were basic but the house was very clean and welcoming. However, it rained the night we stayed in the bungalow and there was a significant leak in the downstairs bedroom. Significant enough that we needed to get out of bed and use two (of the 4 provided) towels to clean up the water. We also needed to bring in the trash can from the kitchen to catch the water. I attempted to contact the owner in the morning via email and he never responded back.

  • The house was nice and in close proximity to the beach. We were too busy to spend much time there and so we didn't meet Chris but he was friendly on the phone and everything was where he said it would be. I would definitely recommend the place to others.

  • The house was light and clean and in a good location. We met Chris briefly he was very nice and hospitable. The negatives to our experience were as follows. We showed up at the check out time to find the cleaning lady still there and it took another hour of waiting until the beds were made, cleaning done, before she left. It took away from our afternoon plans, but we got over it. The other negative is the wifi at the house was TERRIBLE. Also, the bed was uncomfortable. We only stayed for the night, so we don't have any reviews on use of kitchen, water pressure, etc. Overall it was an ok experience. However, I wouldn't stay here again.

  • Coming from the cold New York winter, arriving in sunny Santa Monica was a dream come true. Check-in was easy and Chris was always friendly and courteous in communicating with us. The place is basic but comfortable and clean and is a mere ten minutes' walk from the beautiful beach and the Main Street scene. It's also around the corner from an Albertson's supermarket and a short walk away from a Whole Foods which came in handy.
One note--we were expecting three beds, and while the living room couch does fold flat, none of us were comfortable sleeping in there with the glass panels in the front door opening right to the street. The upstairs bed was more than big enough for two, however, and we didn't mind sharing!

  • Nice little place for two couples. We didn't get to meet Chris. But prior to the booking he gave us all the information we needed. Great communication and fast replies!

  • Chris's place was perfect for what we needed. Great location 1/2way between Santa Monica pier and Venice boardwalk, clean and comfortable. The bed upstairs was awesome!

  • Chris was a great host. The house is spacious, well lit and comfortable. Everything was exactly as advertised. Whole Foods is a few blocks away. It is easy walking distance to the beach, Main St and many restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!
