Rose and Glen's house is gorgeous. Ideally located a short drive up from Montezuma with breathtaking views. We loved their outdoor living spaces and their well-equipped kitchen! Do note there are no screens on the upper level so nighttime can be a little buggy. This didn't bother us as we knew we were immersed in the jungle with all it's glory! The pool was perfect and just as pictured. We met the current caretaker Jim who was a delight- super friendly but also gave us our privacy. We just wish we could've stayed longer.

This is a great place to stay, and Rose & Glen are great people to rent from. The location is ideal especially if you have a car, as it's elevated enough to catch the breeze off of the ocean, and the pool will help keep you cool during the day.

What a treat it was to stay at Rose and Glen's mountain casita! We loved relaxing in the pool and eating meals or reading books in the open-air dining area that had beautiful views of the ocean and the treetops. We felt like we were in a tree house! Each evening we saw a flurry of monkey activity in the trees a few hundred yards away, and listening to the songs of unique birds. We even had a short "visit" from a monkey when we were on the lower level and he snuck into the kitchen on the upper level and stole an avocado! (We learned to keep the kitchen door shut after that!) It was the perfect setting to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. The bedroom had a comfy bed and good AC. As other travelers have stated, the road down to town was windy, steep and had deep ruts in places, so AWD is a must. Lasty, and most important, Rose and Glen were incredibly genuine, kind, gracious, helpful, and interesting. This was a treasured experience!

Amazing location, beautiful house, lovely hosts! We had a perfect stay at Rose's and Glen's and spent several hours on the terrace, just watching the wild life. But remember to bring your mosquito repellent...

We had a wonderful stay at Rose and Glen's house in Montezuma. The house is located about a 15 minute walk into town and from there to a number of beautiful beaches on either side. It was the perfect place to relax, cook, and spend time together, and the pool was a wonderful bonus. Rose and Glen were very helpful in providing tips on arriving and activities in the area. I can't recommend their place enough!

We researched our holiday well, and all the positive reviews played a big part in our decision making process, but even then, they don't do justice to what Rose and Glenn provide. They clearly love meeting people, and take great pride in ensuring that their guests settle in and have a terrific holiday. They couldn't do enough for us, but were never remotely intrusive. The property is their home for much of the year, and because of this, it is everything it needs to be - comfortable, practical and well equipped. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of the lush jungle, and whilst there are houses in the vicinity, it feels private and secluded. The walk into Montezuma takes about 15 minutes, but the inclines mean that we never attempted the walk back! There are taxis readily available, and well worth the 3000 colons! The town is small, but very tourist friendly with a well stocked supermarket and a great choice of restaurants, cafes and bars. The pricing is robust - expect to pay what you would pay in America or Western Europe - but if this puts pressure on your budget, the kitchen at the house is great, and cooking is no problem. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the house - the children loved the pool, and there are so many places to kick back and do nothing. The veranda upstairs is just gorgeous, and the view of the jungle and the sea is stunning. There is wildlife-a-plenty, and expect to get up close and personal with a variety of animals! Montezuma itself has a particular culture, and I would advise anyone thinking of staying here to do some research so you know exactly what to expect. It may not suit a family with young children. There are plenty of tour companies - we used Zuma Tours and they were very good - and to get the full holiday experience, you must try a few excursions out. The holday completely exceeded our expectations, and a lot of this was down to Glenn and Rose. They couldn't have done more to make this the best holiday we have ever had. We will be staying in touch with them, and will be looking at their other properties the next time we go away! A huge thank you!

It's difficult to even find where to begin. This was the first stop of our week long Costa Rica adventure. Glen and Rosemary definitely set the tone for the trip. You guys are so down to earth and friendly. Our trip was made special due to your recommendations of beaches, bakery, and the lay of the land in CR. I cannot thank you enough. The house is amazing! Cannot wait to stay here again! PuraVida

Hi
Our names are Glen and Rose Marie we are a retired couple from Seattle. We have a home in Montezuma and have lived the "pura vida" 6 to 7 months in Costa Rica every year since 2007. We also love the north west US and have our home of 28 years in Seattle in the Fremont neighborhood and a duplex in the Ballard neighborhood as well as well as a townhouse in the James Bay neighborhood of Victoria, BC which we just cannot give up so we have turned them into vacation rentals so we can enjoy them when we are around. Since we have vacation rentals you can be assured that we will treat your place with respect and leave it in clean condition.
I love to garden, cook, travel, getting to know interesting people form all over the world, and also enjoying the beauty of the places were we live! Hope you will enjoy our homes as much as we do!
