My husband and I really enjoyed this cozy apartment. It is very attractive and modern, just like the pictures. The bed was extremely comfortable. The building is extremely quiet and secure.
There are multiple metro stations in easy walking distance and Laurent’s recommendation to buy a 10 pack of tickets is worth following. It really simplifies the process.
Laurent’s aunt provided a very good overview of where everything is at and how to use things. She was wonderful! The grocery across the street has everything you might need and the grocer is very friendly. We unfortunately don’t speak any French, and he was happy to interact and joke with us in English.
If you enjoy a good walk, Notre Dame is a very reasonable distance. We hiked down the Boulevard de Sebastopol to the river and the bridges to Notre Dame and really enjoyed the shops and cafes along the way.
The WiFi in the apartment has a very good connection speed. We were ready for a quiet night in before making our trip home and loved that we could use the iPad Laurent provided along with the GoogleCast dongle he has to log into our Netflix account and watch a few shows before bed.
We were there for some relatively hot temperatures and the air conditioner worked very well and made the space extremely comfortable.
While you get to this apartment from the airports using the RER and metro, there are a lot of train changes to do so. I would personally recommend a taxi or Uber for getting to and from the airport if you have larger luggage. We used Uber to get to CDG at 07:00 and it cost 45 Euros.
The apartment was great and it is located close to the Strasbourg Saint Denis metro station. Laurent's aunt helped us with the check-in and she was just wonderful! Despite not being able to converse in English, she took the time to explain the items in the apartment and also show us the nearest supermarket and train station. The coffee machine and iPad was nice touch to the apartment. The surrounding neighbourhood was okay and we felt safe walking around. We would recommend this apartment for those who plans to visit Paris.
We had a lovely stay at Laurent's apartment. His aunt checked us in and out, despite not speaking English. She showed us each feature of the apartment and around the neighborhood! Just know that it's a 3 story walk up.
The apartment is quiet and makes excellent use of a small space. Very modern and minimal design, with unique lighting. Bed was comfortable, and there's ample sunlight. The apartment was spotless too.
Also, note that the toilet is separate from the bathroom on the other side of the apartment.
There was ample closet space for our clothes and we loved the coffee/espresso maker. We never cooked but did buy some groceries across the street at the market. The building is private, safe, and features a courtyard.
During our stay Laurent checked in and made himself available over email.
The area is close to the great shopping and bars around the Marais, and close to 3 major metro stops. We took an Uber to the train station for about 15-20 euros each way. There's a good breakfast place next store and bar across the street.
Our only suggestion would be to improve the lighting around the bathroom sink in addition to the mirror.
Overall we would recommend staying here and would stay here again.
The apartment was modern, clean and efficient, everything was working well. There's a café and a small grocery across the street and the closest Metro is 5 minutes' walk away. We had minor problems but these were solved immediately, Laurent was easy to reach. His friendly grandmother gave us instructions entirely in French but it was easy enough to understand. The iPad and wifi were a plus. I would recommend Laurent and this apartment. Be aware that this apartment is on the 3rd floor and has no lift, I should have brought my luggage that converts into a backpack!
Wonderful apartment. Exactly like the pictures. Wonderful location -walking distance to just about every tourist sight. The metro is down the block if you need it. Supermarket across the street. Check-in and check-out was smooth w/ Laurent's aunt. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. We emailed Laurent several times during our stay w/ some minor questions and he replied immediately. The bed was very comfy. The shower was also great. I was bummed that the coffee machine was not working properly, but still give the apartment 5 stars. Laurent was a great host even thou we never met him.

About the Host, Laurent
I am from Paris, born and raised. I love traveling and discovering new places and people. I have travelled to 42 countries around the world and I have been living both in the UK and in Australia.
My favorite area of Paris is where I live - which is central Paris (Le marais) where my apartment is and I believe that it is the best place to stay in Paris.
Most of the time, my aunt is taking care of the apartments. She is nice and please note that she is only french and italian speaking.
See you soon!
Theater - fully refurbished over 10 years, the Gaîté Lyrique just re-opened. Its not a theater dedicated to numeric art. Have a look there and you should go upstairs at the café - its surprising.Paris 75003
