Welcome to Eva & David’s house. This ground-floor 4 room apartment in a traditional Lebanese residential building was previously our painting workshop, situated at the lower end of Monot Street. It has high ceilings, stained glass windows and tiled floors and is ideally located a few minutes walk from Downtown and Gemmayze and a wealth of restaurants and bars.
The apartment consists of 2 guest rooms which lead onto the dining and sitting room through old-fashioned double doors. The fully-furnished and recently re-fitted kitchen and bathroom are off the hall. The guest rooms can be rented separately or together.
Room 2: two joined beds which can be separated, desk and closet.
Spoken languages: English, French, Arabic and Italian.
There is one inconvenient: they just started a construction site next to the apartment. It can be noisy 8am to 4pm on weekdays.
Fantastic apartment! It really is a very stunning place. David and Eva made us feel very welcome. David gave our taxi driver directions to the apartment over the phone and once we arrived even gave us a tour of Beirut in his car, pointing out his favourite places to eat and drink.
A stunning apartment made all the more better by the hosts. Thank you both again.
The place is beautifully restored and decorated. Very high ceilings and nice windows. David helped us with the taxi instructions and gave us information about Beirut, they offered to take us to Gemmayze with their car even though they were about to head to the mountains. It was definitely the right choice to capture more of Beirut and its atmosphere. Thank You for the hospitality.
Eva & David are really nice people! David picked me up at 4am because the taxi driver didn't know anything about Beirut and couldn't find the place!!
The house is nice and very well located, the neighborhood is also nice, close to downtown and it has the best falafel in town ;)
I'll repeat for sure
The house is as it is described. Location is just perfect. Hosts are so friendly and kind. I definitely reccomend this flat !
This is a very interesting space. As the photos show, it is a traditional Beiruti apartment from the 1920s with a lot of character. I unfortunately didn't get to meet Eva, but I did meet David when I first arrived. He was extremely helpful and was able to provide the taxi driver with a bit of direction when we couldn't exactly locate the building. David is very friendly and provided me with a ton of information straight away. As it is an older building, you don't have central heating/water, but David showed me how to turn on the gas heaters and also how to set the hot water tank. He and Eva had actually stopped by on my second day to check in on me but I was unfortunately out. Overall this is a very cool apartment with even more amazing hosts. Thanks again David and Eva, I hope to return soon!
Great hosts and great house!
The house completely equipped and the hosts always available despite the fact they were abroad.
The area is cool and in perfect position.
Thanks a lot Eva and David, it's been absolutely fantastic and I'm really looking forward to come back for a longer period!
All the best to the entire family :)
