This was my second year at the Yoga Retreat on Laurel Island. Restorative! Lovely Island. Wonderful Lodging, comfort, safety, ambience and food. I’ll be coming back as long as the Retreat is offered.

We can sleep 39 or it can be just a couple. Enjoy the tranquility and excitement on an Island
There are 5 guesthouses on the Island - Deck House, Chalet, Bay House, A frame and Captain’s Cabin- which sit on the lakeshore of the Island, all within an easy stroll yet distinctly private from one another. The cabins have 3 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen area. Each has it’s own dock and at least one water front deck to enjoy the view. There are plenty of windows. Each guesthouse has water, electricity and other facilities.
We provide the facility which includes kitchens, stoves, refrigerators , pots and pans in each guest house. You take care of all other arrangements i.e. food, drinking water, bedding, etc.
If you have a boat this is ideal, you can use the dock at your cabin for your boat. Rowboats are available for each cabin. The recreational opportunities of a lake are available: canoeing, kayaking, swimming, water skiing and more. On the Island are volleyball, badminton, bocce ball, croquet and other land sports.

Interaction with Guests
When the entire Island is rented there is someone on the Island to help with the facilities. For cabin rental we are available to help with any problems also.
There is a 550 acre lake which is available for swimming, boating and other water sports. There is a float to lounge on and dive off.
This is our home we expect our guests to treat it with respect and not to harm it in any way. We do allow pets but expect them to be well behaved and cleaned up after.
Island and hosts were great - jack is a really nice guy. Island is a little oasis of cabins and quiet amidst a backdrop of, in some places, pretty ostentatious mansions overlooking the lake. The cabins are pretty rustic - they come with pump-activated composting toilets and you bring your own sheets -- just my speed and a perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The lake has its share of jet skis and motorboats zooming around on a saturday, but at least that's mostly only in the afternoon. The evenings are great - you get a dock and a nice deck in front of your cabin so you can sit outside and watch the peaceful sunset while you sip wine.
This is the second time I rent the cabins with a group of friends. Even on a rainy day you will have fun. It's a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The cabins are fully equipt and comfortable. Both Jack and his wife are available at anytime to answer any questions and they are very kind. This is always such a great experience!
