I love Cape Town as much as I love hosting visitors from all over the world (which I have been doing for many years). Can't live without my labrador, my olive tree which bears truckloads of wonderful olives annually, or my neighbours who share the amazing cul de sac we live in up against Signal Hill. Jump at any chance to travel to off the beaten track destinations (the most recent adventure having been a self-drive roadtrip through Botswana, and before that Namibia and Angola). Don't really dig tourist attractions or endless museums...). Favourite movies include Babette's Feast, Bagdad Café, Antonia's Line. Music leans towards blues, jazz and folk rock. Food choices start with healthy and adventurous. Love chili. Oh and love wine - our own wonderful wines from SA mostly! As far as being a guest or a host: comfortable, non-intrusive hospitality and getting /giving pointers to unexpected local WOW experiences do it for me.
