Sharon and I love to travel, enjoy fine art and wine and are foodies. We also can fill you in on where to eat and what places to pass up. We are both History buffs (Sharon was a History major in undergrad) and we can talk at length about what the area has to offer "history wise".
Quiet neighborhood, surrounded by a masonry and iron fence, open gate and two large fountains. What a GREAT stay! JP & Sharon made us feel right at home. The accommodations were just as described and exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were engaging and helpful in providing information and recommendations. Nice morning chat over coffee on the porch made you feel like part of the family. The home is conveniently located to all major attractions in the Myrtle Beach area. Can't wait for our next visit.
JP & Sharon's home is a peaceful & beautiful place to stay. We had a quiet room downstairs and even our own mini fridge which came in handy. The neighboorhood is Conveniently located to restaurants, the marsh walk, and huntington beach state park. This was my first time using airbnb, Sharon and JP make great hosts and I'd highly recommend their home!
WOW! JP & Sharon's home is immaculately clean and very nicely decorated - the pictures do not do this place justice. I was so impressed with how tidy and modern everything was. There's a hammock out back, and a little mini fridge/freezer for you to use as well as access to laundry! Shower has great water pressure and there is a TV in the room as well as some magazines and wine glasses. We would have liked to stay longer - They were such a lovely family, so friendly and polite.
The room is on street level with a private entrance so you don't feel like you are disrupting anyone and can come and go as you please. We arrived quite a bit later than expected and Sharon was very understanding and patient (I hope we didn't mess up her plans for the day).
Murrells Inlet is a FANTASTIC area... we went to Wahoo's Fish House and they had live music and it was a blast! Place was packed for the holiday weekend. There's lots of other stuff in the area too... I would definitely return and hopefully I can bring my mom next time; she would love it as much as I did!!!!!! :)
This was our first experience with Airbnb. Enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Grateful to our host JP and Sharon for making us feel welcomed. Loved Murrells Inlet and the things it had to offer. The food recommendations were a big help. Plan to return!
JP and Sharon are wonderful hosts with a wealth of helpful information. The downstairs room is quiet, private and beautifully furnished. Location is great for visiting Brookgreen Gardens and the amazing deserted beaches of the nearby state park. Great local seafood restaurants and you have the best of the Myrtle Beach area. Wonderful trip!
Sharon and JP were wonderful hosts and Runt the cat was quite the entertainer. Sharon called us ahead of time to confirm our arrival time at the cottage, showed us around when we arrived and made us feel right at home. The downstairs entrance was an easy way to come and go without feeling like you were disturbing the house. Everything was very clean and neat; the bed was comfortable; there was plenty of space in the closet for our stuff to be tucked out of the way and the mini refrigerator in the laundry room was very convenient for our breakfast and lunch goodies. Loved having the private bath as well.
We enjoyed getting to know our hosts over morning coffee and they recommended great places to dine around Murrells Inlet. We didn't have a bad meal our entire stay. They had beach chairs, a shade tent and bikes for our use. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for; while at they same time just letting us enjoy the space. The room had lots of natural light even though it was on the ground floor of the house.
The neighborhood was newer, quite and well cared for. It was easy to find and convenient to Huntington State Park, Brookgreen Gardens and tons of good dining options.
We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Murrells Inlet for vacation.
JP and Sharon were friendly and congenial hosts. They provided us with our own bedroom, bathroom, and mini-fridge (with all the amenities - even leaving travel toiletries in the bath). They also gave us a bottle of wine as a welcoming gift!
The location of our hosts' home was very convenient. Just a five minute's drive from the beach, and several nice restaurants. Both JP and Sharon had excellent recommendations for where to eat, and what sights to see while we visited Murrell's Inlet.
