This bright and comfortable flat is on the 2nd floor (no elevator) of an ancient building, belonging to the 1600'(website hidden) has original ceiling frescos from 18th Century and it is located in one of the most typical areas in Rome: Borgo Pio, in the Vatican district. The name origin is Burg, meaning a small village.
It is composed of 2 double rooms (1 room has a bed on a mezzanine), a spacious living room with a sofa double-bed and a table with chairs, a kitchen and a bathroom. It can sleep up to 6 people. It is decorated in an antique manner with its huge bookcase (hand-made by the owner which is a talented restorer) and its frames, all in bohemian style.
Borgo Pio includes the most important monuments of the ancient Rome and stay nearby other characteristic place of Rome: St.Peter Square, Vatican Museums and St.Angel Castle are 1 minute walk, Trastevere is 5 minutes walk and also Navona Square, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps are reachable in maximum 10 mins. Bus stops and metro stop (Ottaviano) are at walking distance and will enable you to reach all other Rome major sites/museums including Colosseum, Borghese Gallery, St. Clemente Church, St. John Basilica very easily.
The street where “Vatican Fresco” is located gives the name to the entire area: Borgo Pio. This area is bordered by Vatican City (Saint Peter's Square) to the west, the Tiber to the east, Prati to the north, the quartiere Aurelio to the southwest and Trastevere to the south. The main roads run east-west and (with the noteworthy exception of the modern Via della Conciliazione) are not named Vie (streets), but Borghi, such as small villages.
The street of “Fresco’s place” is mainly pedestrian which gives calmness both during the day and at night and is plenty of restaurants, gelato shops and bars. You will be delighted by the typical atmosphere, by the characteristic paving and by the hidden corners of this area…you will feel like staying in a village in the centre of the Eternal City!
Shopping is also possible in the nearby Via Cola di Rienzo and Via Ottaviano, with beautiful and trendy shops and boutiques as well as historical coffee shops and Typical Italian products shops.
You can cook and eat your own meals thanks to the fully-equipped kitchen with many cooking basics.
The loft has free of charge WI-FI, hair-dryer, TV, DVD, radio, cotton towels and bed linens, final cleaning: all included in the rent. At footsteps from the main door you can find supermarket, typical Italian food shops, banks, tobacconist, cafeterias, restaurants, gelato shops and many other shops!
The flat is easily accessible from both airports (Fiumicino-Ciampino) and from the Termini Central Station.

Check-in is usually at 1pm. Check out is usually at 10am. Upon availability, we can agree a different timing. For check-in after 10pm there's an additional fee of 10 euro.

Very nice appartment very well located close to Vatican (a few streets from St Peter). Antonio was very friendly and flexible. The day we left, he let us have our luggages in the flat until 6 pm so that we could visit and enjoy our last day without all our stuff with us.
However, we were a bit disappointed regarding the cleanliness of the flat, the bathroom was not perfectly clean, and we were not sure that the bed shits had been washed before our venue...
