About this listing
Super twin room in peaceful home set in the rice fields. A very beautiful surrounding with some killer views of jungle and distant volcanoes. The home is brand new (just a couple of months old) and kept sparkling clean. Daily cleaning provided.
The house is brand new, sparkling clean, and has a nifty pool. The quintessential 360 degree views of rice fields, jungle and volcanoes makes this house quite special.
Guests are totally welcome to make use of the pool, kitchen, and other shared spaces.
Interaction with Guests
Respect our neighbours, local culture, and the peace.
No animals, no smoking.
Sanggingan is set just outside of the main bustle of Ubud, but still allows for super speedy access to everything Ubud has to offer. Sanggingan is blessed with a killer Italian restaurant, a most excellent Indonesian Warung, an awesome (and pretty cheap) spa and of course the famous (but if slightly overrated) Naughty Nuri's.
You're life will be easier if you're comfortable in riding a scooter. But it's still only a short work to the main road where you're able to grab a taxi.
Be awesome. Be green. Respect our neighbours, local culture, and the peace. No animals, no smoking.
This is a great place to stay for a few days or longer in the middle of the paddy fields. The room is as described (exactly) and is clean and comfortable. The staff are also helpful and friendly.
The swimming pool is perfect for a quick dip or a longer lounge about. Having a modern house in such a beautiful setting is a real treat.
Keith has great directions available for getting to the house which I used late in the night and didn't have any difficulties. Keith's place is perfect for independent travelers who need a place to rest, relax and explore.
On one night, we watched a movie on the open air 'screen' with some of the other guests which was really cool.
Access to Ubud is easy and quick on a scooter or with a taxi.
Overall, a relaxed and easy stay in Ubud.
There is only one way to describe my stay at Keith's Vila: amazing. The Vila is picturesque and located in a beautiful surrounding with a perfect view on the rice fields. The rooms are spacious and are getting cleaned every day. It really looks exactly like the provided pictures and the Vila is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The center of Ubud is about 5 minutes away by scooter and the only way to get to the Vila is a little path through the rice paddies. So it is true that your life is going to be a lot easier if you are comfortable with riding a scooter but even if not you can just enjoy a daily walk through the amazing scenery.
However it's not only the Vila that made my visit so special but also the fact that Keith himself is the perfect host. He answered all my questions patiently, helped with renting my scooter and even took me along with his friends and showed me Ubuds hotspots.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place away from the busy main streets of Ubud. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
This was my first AirBnB experience, and it exceeded all my expectations. Keith was an excellent host, even though he was not around during my stay, he was superbly helpful and communicative. The house itself is in a great location, two minutes off the busy streets but quiet and secluded enough to make you feel as if you are miles from civilization. The room was clean, neat and spacious, everything looks exactly like the pictures. The housekeeper Wayan is a superstar, coming and going quietly everyday (except on Sundays, I think) ensuring the common living area, pool area and rooms were cleaned daily. He also helped arrange a scooter for me to hire. All in all, this felt like an authentic Ubud experience, and I can't wait to be back.
We had a great time at this place. It was definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed at in Bali. The view is awesome! And the pool is just a perfect place to relax. We didn't meet Keith, because he is travelling himself. But he was always available via email for us. We were welcomed very nicely by his housemates John and Wayan. Wayan even took us to a traditional Hindu ceremony. All in all a super nice stay! Nothing to complain about!
Such a nice place! It is so lovely. We would come back, anytime. Clean and big room, nice pool, quiet area althought next to the city. A lot of pretty good restaurants in the neighboorhood. You should stay here :)
I had an amazing stay at his place for four nights. Keith was extremely helpful even before I arrived (finding out the location of my request, the direction from the airport or Ubud center etc.) His place is right in the middle of ricefield and you get a marvelous sunrise view in the very atmosphere of Ubud. Wayan, the housekeeper, was always there to help us and very friendly. I would love to go back to the place once I get to learn how to ride a scooter, which is a pretty must in Ubud! Very recommended place and great host! Thank you for letting me stay Keith! :)))
From our email convo, I felt save to stay in Keith's place as he provided detailed explanations . And I was very surprised the room that I rent and home environment that I will live in just exactly similar with the description & picture posting on the site, everything as advertised was as is! Love the spacious bath room, lovely gate and courtyard with lush trees & greenery, and small perfect pool outlooking the rice paddies . In addition to cute welcoming goodie-bag, Keith also equipped the room with a flyer on fun & useful facts about the neighborhood including info on restaurant, spa and etc. I met lovely and helpful Pak Wayan - the housekeeper, Pak Made - my ojek bike driver & Pak Agung, the car driver. Not to miss the full smile & friendly villagers & rice farmers every time I am back & forth passing by.
