Nestled in scenic rice paddies, just outside the centre of Ubud, this place is designed for the digital nomad looking for project inspiration. Stay with like-minded people and be productive with high-speed WiFi, personal spaces and a pool to unwind!

The space

Digital Nomad?

Then this is the place for you. Peaceful but still sociable, you can finish off that project you've been procrastinating whilst meeting new people and enjoying Bali's many charms. Create your own little office space tucked away at one of the house's many desks (including a stand-up desk). We can even move a desk into your own bedroom: whatever you need to be more productive!

Speaking of the bedroom, there's a twin bed with air-conditioning, and spacious bathroom. It's part of a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom shared house.

With a high speed internet connection (typically 30mb up and down) and with a backup connection, you need never worry about getting online. Plus, with long-term discounts available (stays over a month) this property is ideal for digital nomads who want to base themselves in Bali.

Enjoying Your Downtime

The house itself is newly built in a simple minimalist design with a housekeeper who comes 6-days a week to help keep the place spick and span (and free up your time). This is a space for people who work hard and want to peacefully enjoy themselves too. There is a home cinema, a lush garden with Banana and Coconut trees, a refreshing cool pool and a fully equipped kitchen, all for guests to use whenever they wish.

Guest access

Guests can, of course, come and go as they please and are allowed to make use of all areas of the house. Each room has a lock on the door.

Interaction with guests

Although the house allows for solitary pursuits, the communal atmosphere is very important: we are looking for guests to be part of our little family. The host, Keith, who has been living in Bali for 4 years, occupies one of the rooms and is on-hand to offer local insights to new visitors: most evenings we tend to go out together and explore one of the many local eateries.

As we are trying to create a peaceful and relaxed environment there are a few rules: non-smokers, respectful of the local area, the culture, and the house's peaceful atmosphere, and, most importantly, be pretty awesome!

My friend and I stayed at Keith's place for 5 nights, and we absolutely loved it! We unfortunately did not get to meet Keith in person because he was travelling, but he checked in a few times via message to make sure everything was okay. His friend was there to greet us, show us around, give us suggestions, and answer our questions (thanks, Erik!). The house is beautiful, right in the middle of the rice fields. The views from the windows, balcony, and pool were amazing. For me it was the perfect location because it was remote and peaceful, but still close to town, especially if you rent a scooter. There were also some great restaurants nearby. The place was clean (thanks to Wayan) and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, and I would definitely recommend others to stay here as well. Thanks, Keith!

This was an excellent place to stay, and a great spot to start discovering Ubud. First thing you need to know is, the location is a bit far from downtown Ubud. There is a lot to do in the area near where this listing is located, but if you want to go check out the more popular spots in Ubud, you're gonna need to rent a scooter. But honestly, if you're in Bali, you should be renting a scooter anyway; riding around here is too much fun not to! Also note that you're gonna have to ride/hike for a few minutes along an unlit walkway through the rice paddies to get home. It's super safe over here; Keith maintains great relations with the neighbors, and you won't bump into any strangers in the middle of the night. But it will be freaky to walk through the fields in complete darkness if you're not used to that sort of thing. Be sure to plan accordingly, and pack a flashlight (Keith will provide one for you when you arrive because he's awesome like that). Ok, with that out of the way, let's talk about why this place (and Keith) rock! First, we have to talk about the ambience. You'll be staying in one of the most beautiful, peaceful and calming spots in town. It's an incredible experience, especially if you're used to the hustle and bustle of city life. The room itself is quite cozy, a good fit for both singles and pairs (romantic or otherwise). The furnishings are a tad spartan, so if you like to spread out when you move into a place, you may need to get a little creative. But it's more fun to spend time in the common area anyway. Internet access is a tad spotty (hey, it's Bali; what did you expect?), but during the day there is generally plenty of bandwidth for (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) calls, and I was also able to upload videos to Youtube in the evenings with no problems. At its fastest, I noticed speeds a little north of 4 mbps — both upload and download. As I noted above, the location is a tad far from downtown Ubud, but there is still plenty of dining, shopping, spas, groceries and services nearby. You will definitely still feel connected! Keith was absolutely fantastic during my stay. He is well-integrated into the community, he knows where all the cool stuff is and can help you locate just about anything that you need. Keith also has formed good relationships with the neighbors in the area, and they all watch out for each other, so you won't have to worry about safety while you're here. Lastly, note that digital nomads like to stay at this place. If you are an internet entrepreneur yourself, you will fit right into the culture here, and there's always somebody new to meet or some event to check out! Final verdict: I had a great time here! Thanks Keith!

I've stayed in the house for 2.5 months to focus on work and finish a project. Both got done, and I had an awesome time. Thanks Keith.

I had a lovely stay and it was a great base to work from and explore Ubud. The views around the house of the rice fields are amazing and it's very peaceful. The house was always clean and it was great to have a kitchen to make smoothies and the occasional dinner. John and the other guests were a delight and great fun to adventure with. It's definitely better to have a scooter here so you have the freedom to go into town and to explore different restaurants. The internet was also good to work with too.

Lovely place to call home in Ubud! I stayed here for one month and would def come back. Rooms are always super clean, pool is perfect to read and tan by, and town is a short motorbike ride away.
