The location and proximity to awesome stuff is truly ideal. You can easily take the train or a cab into the city, but could have just as much to do within easy walking distance.
Interaction with Guests
I am usually available to interract via text, email or phone. I have been here for many years and enjoy advising people on cool things to do, places to eat and hang out, transportation options, etc. Just ask!
My neighborhood is quite simply the best in Brooklyn; very close to trendy downtown neighborhoods like Soho, the East Village and the Lower East Side by cab (right across the Brooklyn Bridge)!, but ensconced in a safe and cozy brownstone neighborhood with lots to do right outside the door. Extremely family-friendly hood.
The building is especially safe and convenient, on a quieter, treed residential block between two busy avenues lined with fantastic restaurants and bars, as well as boutiques, specialty food markets, and a couple of small parks.
It's perfect for a single, a couple or a couple with a small child. We are on the ground floor, so you don't have to worry about tackling lots of steps.
1 block from the F and G subway line (6 min walk to A,C,2,3,R,4,5).
Many of these trains take you to the Atlantic Terminal, with access to LIRR and the Barclay's Center for concerts and sporting events.
Other Things to Note
Two cats live here from time to time. Check if they will be here during your stay. If so, someone will come in to care for them 2x a day at specific times.
I know all my neighbors, and they're very aware of who is coming in and out of the apartment building. Please do not bring additional guests to the apartment unless cleared beforehand with me. Also, please don't be noisy, have parties, etc. because I will get a phone call from the neighbors (it's happened before). There are lots of families in the building, some with young children.
Andrea met us at her apartment to hand off the keys. She was wonderful! She gave us great suggestions on places to eat and the neighborhood was wonderful! She got back to us prior to our arrival answered any questions we may of had.
Great apartment and we are already hoping to return soon!
Very nice stay, warm host, good facilities and excellent location. Thank you. Perfect for exploring Brooklyn and very good links to Manhattan.
Andrea met us punctually and provided us with all the information we needed about the apartment. It was as described - small, basic but providing everything we needed. The neighbourhood is quiet but close to an attractive area with lots of life, diverse shops and close to Brooklyn Heights with magnificent views of Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge which is close enough to walk to and across into Manhattan. We like walking and got as far as Central Park on foot but we also used the subway which is very close and cheap.
The apartment was perfect for a night away from the kids. Very comfortable and close to anything you could need to enjoy your time in Brooklyn. I didn't cook, but they have a great kitchen!.
