  • This place is lives up to its name. It is truly magical. The closeness to the beach, the kindness of the caretakers, and the accessibility to fresh coconuts is all you need. The house itself can really fit a ton of people. There are 3 bedrooms: 1 with a double futon, and 2 with 2 twins pushed together with 2 mattress each underneath the twins. The kitchen opens up to a beautiful view of the Caribbean and provides a deck with plenty of seating. The kitchen has every appliance you need and a 2-burner electric stove on the counter. The little punta to the left of the house provides a fun hiking experience with an excellent view. This is definitely not Sandals Resort, so if you are looking for that experience, look elsewhere.

  • Spent a month here and definitely will be going back. It's a great location on the beach and surrounded by jungle. The house itself is a little on the funky side, but with a lot of Costa Rican charm. The caretakers, a family next door, are there to watch the place and help out. They are very nice. Many close-by places to swim and beaches to walk. If your looking for a Caribbean experience in Costa Rica, this is a wonderful choice!

  • I will always remember the view to Carabean from the deck of the house. The place is amazing, peaceful and so close to the beach. With little investment it could become a true jewel.

  • The house is very well situated, on one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Unfortunately we needed to fight big cockroaches (luckily there was insect repellent available), the mattresses weren't very comfortable and the mosquito nets had quite a few holes in them. I wouldn't take my family there again.

  • Loved staying so close to the ocean. Great views from the deck. Absolutely loved Punta UVA. Wanted to snorkel but there was too much surf. So went body surfing, kayaking and surfing instead!

  • This little beach house is exactly what we were looking for! My family of 5 made ourselves comfortable here for 4 days, while also checking out the coast around Puerto Viejo. It definitely took us having our own rental car and very specific directions to find the place, but once we were there, it was fantastic! The house is literally right on the beach ... you just walk through a little enclave of beautiful trees and plants and there you are. It isn`t deserted but there were very few people there which made it nice. The water was crystal clear and perfect for morning swims and ad-hoc snorkeling. A 5 minute walk around a cove leads you to another beach where you can rent snorkels, kayaks, and meet fishermen if you want to go out for a day.
The family next door who looks after this house was so extraordinarily helpful for us. They helped us arrange their friend to take us fishing (caught only one, though!) and came home with lobsters he dove and got for us, we cooked together one night and the other the fishermen cooked the best lobster we had ever tasted! The family let us use their chairs for the beach and were excited to point out the sloth in the morning that was nesting in the nearby tree! I don`t think that our time there could have been as fulfilling had it not been for their kindness and generosity!

  • For an authentic Costa Rican experience, this gem of a piece of property, so close to the water is a quiet, private, jungle retreat. Yet minutes away, you can enjoy all of the busy tourist activity from Puerto Veijo to Manzanillo. The caretakers next door were the sweetest; always ready and willing to help in any way.

  • We had the amazing privilege of staying in the beach front house for two weeks. This was the highlight of our 5 week vacation in Costa Rica. The house was perfect. There were plenty of beds. Two of the three bedrooms could sleep up to 4 people for a total of 10 people to sleep comfortably. The open floor plan, the views of the beach, the jungle, the sloths, monkeys, birds and iguanas.... must I say more? The home had everything we needed. We loved the location - it was secluded enough to feel as though you had your own private beach, yet only a short walk to one of the best beaches on the Caribbean Costa-Rican Coastline and a short walk to a fabulous restaurant. The bus stop is about 1/4 of a mile walk and not far from there is a great little store to get the basics. The bus system is easy and will take you any where! Gina, the owner, was always a phone call away and incredibly helpful and sweet. Her caretaker, right next to the home, is very helpful as well. I will definitely stay here again when we next visit Costa Rica.

  • This a very cute house right on the beach, with plenty of rooms, our teenage daughters enjoyed the eclectic quality and all the art work displayed on the walls and the special tile shower. The mosquito netting set up over the beds worked very well. Loved running out in the am for a swim before breakfast. Our only issue was finding the place, could of had clearer directions.
