Cozy forest cabin tucked in the trees of Island Park, about 40–45 minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance. The Little Chalet is the perfect Yellowstone basecamp with a private hot tub, large deck, and fire pit for relaxing under the stars after a day in the park. Inside you’ll find warm wood cabin charm, a loft queen bed with treehouse vibes, sleeper sofa, and a simple kitchen for easy meals. Peaceful, comfortable, and close to the river, trails, and Island Park adventures.

The space
The Little Chalet is a cozy wood cabin with an open layout and warm cabin character. The main level includes a comfortable living area with a sleeper sofa, dining table, compact kitchen, and full bathroom with washer and dryer.

Upstairs is the loft sleeping area with a queen log bed. The ceiling slopes along the sides, but you can stand comfortably in the center. Many guests say it has a fun treehouse feel, though getting into bed can be a little snug along the edges.

Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious deck, private hot tub, and fire pit area surrounded by trees — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Yellowstone and Island Park.

The cabin works best for couples or small families looking for a peaceful forest getaway and a comfortable basecamp for nearby adventures.

Guest access
You have exclusive access to the entire cabin and the inviting hot tub. While the parking area is shared with our neighbor's cabin, don't worry – your designated spots are clearly marked with signs, ensuring ample space for everyone. For your convenience, there's a well-defined path from the parking area to your front door. Please be considerate and avoid blocking the path with your vehicle. Enjoy your stay!
EV CHARGER USE – Electric vehicle charging is available at the cabin and is not included in the rental rate. Guests using the EV charger will be billed at $0.20 per kWh as recorded by the charger. Please notify us in advance if you intend to use the EV charger so usage can be tracked and billed accurately. Payment is due prior to check-out. If payment is not received by check-out, the amount will be deducted from the security deposit (hotel hold).

The Little Chalet sits in the forested Island Park area of eastern Idaho, surrounded by tall pines and classic mountain scenery. It’s a peaceful cabin neighborhood that feels tucked into nature while still being close to local restaurants, shops, and services near Mack’s Inn.

Yellowstone National Park’s West Entrance is about 40–45 minutes away, making the cabin a great home base for exploring geysers, wildlife, and the incredible landscapes of the park.

The surrounding area is known for its outdoor recreation. Guests can visit Big Springs and the historic Johnny Sack Cabin, fish on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, boat at Island Park Reservoir, hike scenic trails, or explore miles of ATV routes.

After a day of adventure, it’s nice to return to the quiet forest setting of the chalet to relax on the deck, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy the evening around the fire pit.
