I will be home part of the time. I have lived in Cork City most of my life so I am happy to share my local knowledge of Cork City with guests.
The estate was built in the 18th century to accommodate the soldiers from the Elizabethan fort during its reconstruction. (the original wall still surrounds my estate). A wonderful, quiet cul de sac with fantastic neighbors.

Des was great, a weath of knowledge and fun, ever so helpful, couldn't do enough for you.
The place is a bit hard to find, but one you figure it out with him once you get there it's so close to the centre of town.
We all went to Cork's oldest Pub not 2 minutes down the road.
Des's advice on everything was pure gold, quite a "character "
Plenty of parking.
Plus a friendly cat.
Very pleasant place, close to the city center. Thank you Desmond for your nice welcome and all your help during my stay!
Desmond was so friendly and helpful, with great local knowledge. The room was perfect and so convenient for the city centre, would definitely recommend! Thanks again!
Desmond is a great guy. He loves to talk and is very friendly. He even took us out for a drink at the oldest pub in Cork. We had a great time staying there. And we loved the kitty Christy! The location of his place is fantastic. It is very quiet and is only 4 blocks from the main tourist area. Desmond is a smoker but did not smoke in the house while we were there. And the futon was very comfortable.
Desmond is a very nice and extremely helpful host. He knows the city very well. The room was clean and well prepared. I enjoyed my stay.
