Seaglass House is a classic beach cottage located in the private community of Bay Ridge. Situated 4.5 miles east of Annapolis, where the Severn River meets Chesapeake Bay, Bay Ridge's beaches and natural beauty remain unsurpassed in the region.
The perfect place for a relaxing retreat or fun family reunion, Seaglass House offers guests a safe, quiet place to unwind and regroup. It is also within easy driving distance to the eastern shore, DC, and Baltimore.

The space
One of the older summer cottages in historic Bay Ridge, Seaglass House has been in the same family for nearly seventy years. A comfortable dwelling with generous rooms, there is ample space for large gatherings or to be off by yourself to nap, read a book or watch a film. Rooms include a living room; a formal dining room that seats up to 12; a reading room; a game room; a private deck; two bathrooms and five bedrooms (two downstairs and three upstairs). Some rooms have window seats and built-in bureaus. The downstairs bathroom floor boasts vintage mosaic tiles while the small, renovated bathroom upstairs has a tub with spa jets. The well-equipped kitchen has a period stainless steel double sink counter top. Hardwood floors run throughout the house.
The backyard is small but private, and large enough for horseshoes or a badminton net. The deck overlooking the backyard has Adirondack chairs, a wrought iron table and chairs, and deck rail seats.
Situated just one house back from the Bay, there are water views from some rooms and the community beach is just steps away.
If you seek a more contemporary home, then Seaglass House might not be the rental for you. But for those who enjoy stepping back into a quieter, gentler era that still enjoys many modern amenities, the house may be a good fit. It offers a pleasant space to just chill and wander beachside, watching the sun rise over the bay, or swapping stories on the deck at night while the kids catch fireflies.

Where you’ll be

Annapolis, Maryland, United States

- Bay Ridge is a modern day 'never-never land' filled with walkers, bikers, birdwatchers, sailors, paddle boarders, swimmers and beachcombers who revel in its quiet, natural beauty.
- Commissioning week is a special time where staying in Bay Ridge gives you a front row seat at the beach, watching the Blue Angels practice their fantastical flight maneuvers as they zoom across the Bay. A sunset beach sit, then evening barbecues with family and friends, is a great way to celebrate your son or daughter's graduation.
- Fourth of July is amazing in Bay Ridge! Starting at 11am, there is a community parade, a 50-year-old tradition that gets bigger and more adorable each year. Families work for weeks on their floats. Following the parade, there is a beach party open to all, with food, beer and sweets booths, games for all ages and music. Finally, at 9:00 pm, take a short walk to the beach to enjoy your front row seat watching the fireworks show put on by the city of Annapolis.
- The last Saturday in August is the annual community Jamboree! Kids and adults of all ages look forward to this all summer! Food, drinks, games, water slide, white elephant booth, dunking booth, big wheel, karaoke and all kinds of casino games including poker. This event is held at the community marina and goes on late into the night.
- Sea glass house is also the perfect home for family and friends' reunions over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Relaxing and roomy, with brisk walks around the Bay then home to hot chocolate, good movies, board games and chatting late into the night.
