A cozy loft with mezzanine in an historical building with no elevator from the late 18th century, located in the city's historical center, in the S.lorenzo neighborhood, one of the city's most central locations. Staying at Francesco' apartment in Florence was the best decission we could make. Him and his sister were great hosts to us and helped/advised on things to do and places to eat. The apartment is 5 minutes away from most tourist attractions and the terrace has a beautiful view of the duomo itself were we enjoyed a homemade breakfast and dinner. Before our departure Francesco helped us by printing our plane tickets for our next flight and booking a taxi to pick us up to head to the airport next morning. We had a lovely stay and definitely enjoyed it way more than our "5 star hotel" in Rome. Would definitely stay with Francesco again if we ever go back Yo Florence!
We loved this place. It was exactly as described in the listing. Close to the Duomo, the train station, walking distance to everything. Francesco's recommendations were spot on. Be prepared for walking up a few flights of stairs, but it is all worth it because the rooftop terrace is worth all the work. We spent quite a bit of time up there, taking in the view both in the afternoon and the evening. Some wine, Pecorino cheese and tuscan salami from the market, all combined for a magical evening.
Francesco's friend Elisa greeted me when I arrived early and gave some very helpful advice. Francesco was also very helpful when we needed to print some vouchers for a tour.
To sum up, this apartment is perfect for a couple, it was *very* clean, and it is walking distance to everything you could want to see in Florence.
Staying with Francesco was the perfect beginning to my first trip to Italy. He was so accommodating and helpful, we could not have asked for a better host. The apartment was centrally located, very close to great restaurants, shipping, and sites. We would definitely come back.
Francesco's sister met us at the apartment and allowed us to drop off our bags prior to check in which was super helpful. When we returned we were able to check in, and then later in the day Francesco came by to welcome us and gave us some restaurant recommendations for the area. Note - his very helpful guide available on airbnb does not work on phones, so review ahead of time if you are not traveling with another device! The apartment is small but perfect for two people. It puts you right in the middle of the city, about a five minute walk from the train station and the Duomo. The stairs up to the apartment/roof deck are definitely worth the view. I would highly recommend staying here!
Francesco and his sister (and dog) are awesome Florence hosts! The location of the apartment is perfect, and that's not a figure of speech. 4 minute walk from train station, 5 minutes from Duomo and a grocery store across the street. The apartment is awesome, rooftop terrace, all bathroom worked great. The hosts are very accommodating, they offer to help in town and even make reservations at restaurants. Top floor apartment, a small hike up, but views and being off the street are worth it.
I absolutely re commend this place!
We had a lovely sty in Francesco's apartment. It's in a great location close to the train station, just a 5-10 minute walk. The apartment was clean and perfect for the two of us. The roof top terrace had some incredible views and we had a lovely time having a few beers looking out over Florence we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone staying in Florence. I would be happy to return

I love traveling and meeting other people. Reportage is one of my deepest interests as it brings you towards other people and other places.
We can definitely chat for hours about photography, and I'd be glad to walk around Florence for a quick walk & shoot session if we have time!
I also love cooking, the fresh veggy market is just around the corner, and when summer arrives there is generally a barbecue on the terrace every other weekend and hosts are invited!
