Recently renovated to offer you a cozy loft with a traditional florentine touch: tiles, wooden floors and ceilings. Located in a central but quiet street of one of Florence's most vibrant neighborhoods.
A cozy loft with mezzanine in an historical building with no elevator from the late 18th century, located in the city's historical center, in the S.lorenzo neighborhood, one of the city's most central locations. Just a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio, Museo degli Uffizi, and the famous Via Tornabuoni, the best for touring or shopping in Florence.
The loft is on the 3rd floor and has been recently refurnished according to traditional florentine interior standards: wooden ceiling and parquet on the floor, old tiles and marbles and a cozy wooden mezzanine.
There is a small living room with kitchenette and a queen size bed on the mezzanine.
Bathroom is ensuite.
There is also a beautiful terrace with view over the city centre and the Duomo. Enjoy sun-tanning or breakfast next to the Duomo on a sunny day!
(The terrace is on top of the apartment and its entrance is literally next door and not ensuite).

Francesco and his sister (and dog) are awesome Florence hosts! The location of the apartment is perfect, and that's not a figure of speech. 4 minute walk from train station, 5 minutes from Duomo and a grocery store across the street. The apartment is awesome, rooftop terrace, all bathroom worked great. The hosts are very accommodating, they offer to help in town and even make reservations at restaurants. Top floor apartment, a small hike up, but views and being off the street are worth it.
I absolutely re commend this place!
We had a lovely sty in Francesco's apartment. It's in a great location close to the train station, just a 5-10 minute walk. The apartment was clean and perfect for the two of us. The roof top terrace had some incredible views and we had a lovely time having a few beers looking out over Florence we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone staying in Florence. I would be happy to return
We had an absolutely lovely stay in Florence! The appartment is extremely Central, and a short walk to everything you want to see and do. Francesco is very friendly, and helped us out with everything we needed. The appartment is very cute, and the roof terrace was lovely in the sun. All in all a great trip in a great appartment!
Francesco was the perfect host and very friendly! He was helpful in every sense of the word, helping us with things like tickets to football and good places to visit, and he was in general just nice and interesting to talk to. The place was cozy, central and with a wonderful view from the roof-terrace, where we had both breakfasts and some dinners. We can really recommend staying in Francesco's loft. You will have a pleasant time!
Due to a flight diversion, we arrived much later than planned. Francesco, however, organized a perfect welcome for us in his St. Lorenzo neighborhood.
We must pay the highest compliment this host, not only for offering an absolute jewel of an apartment, but also for sharing a piece of his genuine Florentine soul with us.
The rooftop terrace was the absolute hit for us, allowing us to take in the Capella Medici, the Duomo and the Mercato with views all across the city. We even had breakfast, lunch & dinner up there, having cooked with ingredients found at the Mercato or simply the supermarket right across the street.
And for our 7th wedding anniversary, Francesco booked a table for us in a fabulous Tuscan restaurant.
We wish Francesco all the best and every guest the opportunity to enjoy this slice of life in the heart of Florence.
Francesco's apartment is charming and comfortable. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! We enjoyed 3 wonderful nights in Florence, and we can't wait to come back. Francesco's apartment is right next to the Medici Chapel, which means it is within convenient walking distance of absolutely everything you'll want to see while visiting this beautiful city. It is very close to the Santa Maria Novella station, which makes your arrival very easy. The view from the rooftop will take your breath away. YES---you can see the Duomo and the Medici Chapel--it's like a fairytale. Francesco is an excellent host, so kind and helpful. We would come back to this apartment in a heartbeat!
I'm a photographer and journalism professor here in Florence.
I love traveling and meeting other people. Reportage is one of my deepest interests as it brings you towards other people and other places.
We can definitely chat for hours about photography, and I'd be glad to walk around Florence for a quick walk & shoot session if we have time!
I also love cooking, the fresh veggy market is just around the corner, and when summer arrives there is generally a barbecue on the terrace every other weekend and hosts are invited!
