  • We loved Michael's apartment and it was great to be in such a fantastic area. We had Chelsea Markets and Meatpacking with the fantastic highline within 5 minutes walk as well as the subway super close. The bed was really comfortable and the space was small but had everything we needed for a short stay. Michael was accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay.

  • Really awesome Apartment, we will stay here again if we are going to visit nyc one day again ;-) nice neighborhood, we loved it. Michael was helpful and easy going. The heating is a little bit noisy, but its an old charming house.

  • We stayed at Michael’s place in March 2014. The location of this flat is perfect – the Subway entrance is about 50m away and there are many interesting places which are easy to get to on foot. Communication was easy with Michael and our check in went well with one of his employees.
The photos reflect the studio well – what is perhaps not so obvious is that the kitchen sink doubles up as a bathroom sink (the bathroom consists of a shower and WC). What we found quite scary at first (and then annoying) was the gas seeping from the heater, on the hour every hour. It was certainly heating up the studio, which was welcome when it was -12°C outside, but the noise was a pain to endure especially when it wake you up at night!
Overall, we consider this place to be ‘OK.’ Perhaps it would be worth looking into other properties offered by this host before seriously considering this one!

  • The rental was smooth, I got into the city late but everything was already for me. I was in the city for conference held a block away so it was super accessible. Nice neighborhood, would rent again. Just a warning though, it's a four floor walk up, doesn't seem like anything until you have to do it with bags. Great sunlight!

  • Great Chelsea location, a quiet space - a well-equipped kitchen- nice and warm for the winter - only a few yards from main subway lines and the Chelsea Market. Michael and Ricardo were great to work with - very responsive, helpful, and friendly. Memories include snow on the window sill, the sounds of sidewalks being shovelled, and one afternoon the distant sound of an opera singer warming up - the reasons we prefer the apartment setting. This one was a great choice and will stay at the heart of our winter memories.

  • The apartment was perfect for our long weekend in NYC. Our flight got in late on Friday night so Michael went out of his way to make arrangements to get the apartment keys to us which was really helpful. Everything in the apartment was super clean and inviting, just like the pictures show. You can't beat being one block from the subway and one block from Chelsea Market (especially on a Sunday - brunch there is fantastic). Even though it was in a prime location, it was still on a quiet street which made sleeping a lot easier than I was expecting. Thanks for a great stay!

  • I have to say Michael was a pleasure to deal with and the apartment was perfect for me and close to Chelsea and all of my favorite galleries. Everything I could need was available in the apartment - it really was a great experience. Yes I would stay again!

  • We had a lovely stay here. Michael arranged for his friend to meet us at the apartment on Christmas Day and show us in. It is in a great location with lots to do in that area. Had a very pleasant stay.

About
I am a real down to earth guy, I love to travel and enjoy life. I work hard in Real Estate so that in the slower season my partner Eric and I can travel to our next destination to explore. In 2011 we visited 13 countries. Our two favorite places were Siem Riep, Cambodia and Havana, Cuba. If you are looking to stay with us you can expect to meet strangers and leave feeling like you've visited one of your old friends. We both work a lot so when you visit us you probably won't see us to much, unless it's of course the weekend or the evening where we can have a glass of wine in the living room and discuss daily events or whatever.
