We greatly enjoyed our stay there. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Tommaso was a great host and gave us many excellent recommendation for restaurants and sights. Location is great between the train station and the main sights.
Very central. Very quick response to messages. Overall a positive experience. Only negatives; the bed is small double and there is a bit of noise from the street below (1st floor)
This flat is perfectly placed, very close to railway station, river and historical center. The house is old and pleasant, the apartment is really clean. Everything is very close to it - supermarket, bakery and wine shop are across the street. Some problems with electricity and hot water occurred, but Tommaso and his mom Eliana helped us very quickly. Also they helped with the sights and restaurants!
Well-located near the Santa Maria Novella train station and a nice walk to the city center, with a number of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood, and a grocery across the street. The flat is comfortable and looks as advertised. Tommaso met me at check-in and provided a number of good suggestions for restaurants, bars, and some of the lesser-known sights. The only negatives are a fair amount of noise early in the morning from the unloading of delivery trucks for the grocery (a trade-off for the convenience of having it across the street) and the water heater is small, so quick showers are in order.
Tommasso was the perfect host. He went out of his way to meet me at an hour of my choosing and explained everything to me about the apt in detail. The apt is spacious, comfortable and clean and very well situated. My girlfriend and I were not too bothered by traffic noise outside as the place, simply put, enchanted us.
Tommasso provided perfect recommendations on city landmarks. Don't miss the city's best Gelato!
We loved this apartment. It was close to the train station and attractions. Our host Tommaso was very pleasant and full of helpful suggestions. We were also across from a market which made eating breakfast at home, or grabbing water and snacks for the day very convenient. I would highly recommend the apartment.
It was a pleasure staying in Tommaso's apartment. He wasn't able to meet us on arrival, but his lovely mother let us in, and provided a very welcome bread and olive oil treat. A bottle of chianti was also waiting for us - much appreciated.
Tommaso arrived later in the evening, fully introduced us to the apartment, and recommended local bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants. Take his recommendations - they're close and very good.
The apartment is within easy walking distance of the main railway station towards the river. All of Florence's main attractions aren't far away.
Some reviewers have commented on the low ceiling height for the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Yes you do have to stoop a bit, but it's no problem (unless you're very tall). This is an older style Florentine apartment and it just adds to the charm.
Highly recommended, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
