We had a good stay at Tommaso's apartment. It was in a good location - near the train station and walkable to the city centre. There's a supermarket, bakery and a few cafes just along the same street. The apartment was well secured.
We stayed in the summer, which got a little hot, but the fans he provided helped.
Overall good value and we enjoyed the wine he provided, that's a nice touch.
We had a great three night stay at Tommasos apartment, his uncle greeted us on arrival and was very informative, giving us good tips of where to go and what to do in Florence. The apartment has a nice homely feel and it made us feel like we were really in Florence. There was a bottle of wine left for us too. It is central to everything, close to the train station and river.
The appartment is in the ideal location, just next to the bridge and in a great neighboorhood! A walking distance from everything! We were four, and the appartment didn't feel small at all, very well structured and tommasso set us up with ventilators (we were there in august and the heat was not manageable) and all the basic needs wich helped us a lot for the first day! There's a supermarket and a bakery just in front of the appartment ! Tommasso was very kind and helpful, he gave us good recommandations (eat, drink, see) and even offered us a bottle of wine :) Since I didn't have an italian number and couldn't order a taxi for the airport, he proposed to do it as well :) overall a great experience !!
The Apartment is really great. It is very comfortable and clean. Near to the centre, it is only 10-15 minutes to Palazzo Vecchio by foot.
Next time I come to Florence I'd like to live here again!
Tomasso was a fantastic host, and was extremely helpful. He sat down with us with a map and outlined the entire city; sites, restaurants, bars, gellaterias etc. He was also very easy to get a hold of at any time, which was very convenient if we had any questions. My wife and I slept on the lower level to battle the record heat, which was much nicer. The location is central but a little bit on the outskirts, which is great for noise control. There are a few amazing coffee shops on the block, and across the street is an amazing bakery and a grocery store, which made it easy to get wine and cheese for appetizers. We would definitely recommend staying here, the combination of location, apartment, and Tomasso was exactly what we needed on our honeymoon!
Tommaso was very nice and patient with us when we arrived late at night. He spent time with us walking through the flat and gave us a map to show how to get to the sites and also nightlife and restaurants. A complimentary bottle of wine was provided! The flat was very nice. I really felt it was authentically Florence. Very easy to walk to all the sites to see. Also close to the bus and train station. Grocery, bakery and pizza shops within a few dozen feet from building entrance. Negative I'd say that it was very hot the few days we stayed and the 2 fans were not enough but somehow we coped. I would definitely stay again but not in summer. So much to see and 3 days was not enough. I would like to come back and stay at Tommaso's perhaps in fall or winter.
