Great apartment with a wonderful view.
Surrounded by a bunch of great cafes, restaurants and really delicious home-made-ice shops.
Aino is a sweet host - nice to talk with and flexible about our arrival time - thanks :)
We just loved the place and can not wait to come back another time :)
We had an amazing stay at Aino's and it was the perfect area to live in during our trip. The flat was beautiful and convenient, in the best district with great bars, restaurants and transport to any direction. We'll definitely come again! Kiitos!
We really enjoyed staying in the flat which is spacious, tastefully arranged and has a well equipped kitchen including some basic foods and spices and so a great place if you like to cook for yourself. We also liked how quiet it was at night, having the park across the street and the interesting and diverse neighbourhood. We weren't quite sure when we approached the building as it is pretty rundown looking but it's a great place. Everything went smoothly and we'd happily return. II would mention because it might be helpful info for someonethat we arrived on a Sunday night and there isn't anywhere to get groceries - we were directed to a nearby supermarket but when we got there it had already closed at 8pm.
We had a great time in this flat. It had loads of space, cool and comfortable vintage furniture, and a stunning view from the balcony. Aino was away, but gave us clear instructions for how to find the flat and pick up the keys. She also left a gorgeous hand drawn map with information about the area and recommendations for bars, shops, and attractions. The location is great, in an exciting and relaxed neighbourhood, well connected to public transport, and within easy cycling distance of the city centre. We rented bikes very cheaply from just around the (email hidden). 9, and were able to store them securely at night in the building's courtyard.
We had a wonderful stay in Aino's apartment. The photos barely do the place justice - it is gigantic! The decor is absolutely stunning, a vintage-lover's dream, with an intriguing blend of different eras.
The kitchen is large and well-equipped, great for cooking meals and sharing wine around the table. It's a good place to be social.
There is also a fantastic view of Tempelhof from the living room, and a small bacony where you can further enjoy the view with a drink.
The neighbourhood is well serviced by the U8 train; it will get you in to Alexanderplatz within 10 minutes.
There are many grocery stores, and there is a Turkish grocer/market on Hermanstrasse which sells many cheap and tasty foodstuffs. There is also a laundromat on Hermanstrasse within a 5 minute walk.
Thank you again to Aino for allowing us to stay in the apartment - it exceeded our expectations.
The flat is as amazing as everyone says it is -- it feels like stepping in a design magazine. And it is huge!! Aino, as a host, also did everything she could to make our stay great, even if she was busy with her personal matters, which we appreciated. There were technical issues with the wifi (which happens to all of us) and as it was a weekend, I understand it might have been difficult to resolve but Aino exerted effort to get it sorted -- and did so successfully. We truly appreciated it. The view from the balcony is truly amazing + the neighborhood is really an interesting one, with the park just right behind you.
Thanks very much, we had a lovely stay in your appartment. We enjoyed the 70s furniture, very warm. The view over Tempelhof is superb.
