This beautiful Estate is located on the border of Nipomo, and Arroyo Grande, California. Central Coast, the best place to be! In the country, but a short 8 minute drive to the beach . 2 1/2 acres of english gardens, gazebo's, pool, jaquzzi, and an incredible home to top it off.We get the best weather ever, a micro climate, because we are below the Mesa, and do not get the fog. We are in- land enough from the beaches, so we do not get Gloom of fog, and the drive is short and sweet, if we do want to get to the Ocean.. The Schoolhouse was built in 1891, and later restored and converted into a family home. The house has 4 bedrooms, a family room for entertainment, a formal living room, with a baby grand piano, and a formal dining room, with a gorgeous Farm Table, that seats 10. There is a ton of light in the kitchen, with an entire wall of windows looking out to the pool and yard. There is an Island, with bench seats in the kitchen, too.The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, and a comfortable couch, to sit in.
The house is very lived in, love has defiantly dwelled here. Our family of 6 and dogs and cats , My husband and I moved here from Manhattan Bch in 2000, and raised our four children here. We have had goats, chickens, snakes, dogs, puppys cats, birds, & have made tremendous memories here. There is detail, and character in every inch of the house and grounds. There is a laundry room, a separate art barn, and a separate Yoga Studio. Three car garage, and guest house, which is rented out (email hidden)ere are 3 queen beds and CAL King. There is a queen sofa sleeper in the formal living room. So technically, 12 people can sleep here, if the beds are being shared. There is so much space in this house, there are 7 couches to choose from to kick back and read a book! One of pour favorite thing to do!
Smoking outside only, house trained pets only, no events unless agreed and contracted with me, the home owner.

Our family had a mini-reunion at the Schoolhouse (8 people stayed in the Schoolhouse, and we also rented the Barn on the same property, for two more people) over the holidays. We had a lovely time. The lot is expansive and well-maintained--a great place to relax when not exploring San Luis Obispo, Oceano or Pismo Beach, or nearby hiking. Our family particularly loved the hot tub (the nicest I have seen!), and the large dining room where we could all eat together. The hosts welcomed us with a lovely gift basket, and were very communicative throughout the entire process. We were very glad we stayed here--the home is full of personal and warm touches. We highly recommend this property, especially for large families looking for a place to stay together and linger over breakfast before hiking.
This is a wonderful and unique home. The furnishings, design and space ensured we had rooms where our family could enjoy being together and other rooms where we could go for some quiet time. The pool, hot tub and landscaping combined to make this a destination hard to leave. Diane and Mike are fantastic hosts who left us many goodies, gave us tips on places to visit, and made us feel at home. We hope to visit the Schoolhouse again.
We had great time, 3 families met here and few children 10 yrs old. Great pool, private setting - had area to play soccer, jacuzzi for adults pool was perfect size and deep enough to dive in. and landscaping/garden was gorgeous.
Our stay at Vintage Schoolhouse Estate was wonderful. Diane was a very responsive host. The property and home are truly beautiful, even nicer than the photos. You can feel the warmth of the family in their home, even when they are away. Diane left a basket of fruit (from their own orchard trees) a bottle of wine, coffee, and chocolates. All the essentials! It was about a 23 minute drive to Cal Poly where we attended graduation. An easy commute and we couldn't wait to get back to the Vintage Schoolhouse after events and dinners out - because it was just so perfect.

Hello, My husband and I have been married for twenty four years and have been blessed with four amazing children. We originally are from Manhattan Bch CA. We wanted to give our children more space to run as they grew up, so we bought a Vintage School house built in 1891. We live here in the Schoolhouse on 2 1/2 acres, and have recently added a guest home, in the shape of a Barn. This is what we have to offer you. We are in a quiet spot in the country of AG. Pismo, Shell, and Avila Bch are a short 8-10 min drive. San Luis Obispo is a short 15 minute drive. Come relax in our pool, jaquzzi, ride the bikes and enjoy the wine tasting of the Central Coast. I offer a private Yoga class in my own studio on the property, I am a certified YOga Instructor.
We have three very friendly dogs that are quiet, and loving. We love to travel ourselves, and you will get to see the many pictires of our adventures around the world as you stay in our Barn. We love to read, the movies, and to cook. Make your stay into a true B & B and request Dianes delicious healthy cooking, from Farm Fresh vegies and local fish, meat, cheese, and baked goods.
Our LIfe Motto is Live and Love Life to the fullest , share your home, your blessings and laugh a lot. Family, God, and Gratitude make up our family motto.
