With Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and the river on our doorstep as well as very frequent trains to Waterloo in just 15 minutes and 20 minutes on the underground to South Kensington, Richmond enjoys the best of both London and country life.
With amazing restaurants, cafes, delis, patisseries, pubs and bars, not to mention three cinemas, two theatres and lots to see and do, Richmond has a lot to offer all the family.
Great connections from Richmond station (4 minute walk) with quick links to central London (20 minutes to Waterloo) and on Underground (District Line) and Overground.
Other Things to Note
This is a basement flat. It means that you will hear the pitter patter of feet above you but it really is not intrusive and is in fact soundproofed for. Other guests will testify to this. The bedroom ceiling is soundproofed and so is the main sitting room. This reduces the noise significantly.
The soundproofing means that when you are in bed, you do not hear sound from the TV or people above. And you also don't hear feet.
In the main sitting room the soundproofing means you don't hear any voices or talking. However, when someone walks across the floor above, you do hear some of the steps but it's really not that bad at all. It really isn't.
If you are concerned about this, please ask us and we will seek to reassure you.
There is one thing that you might find odd about the layout of the apartment. The bedroom is off the kitchen. You walk through the main sitting room into the kitchen and then into the bedroom.
It really isn't an issue to anyone that stays. The flat is very well presented and it flows naturally from one room to the other. If you are concerned about this, please ask.
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 13 nights.
The flat is as described, great location, comfortable and secure. Richmond offers great transportation options, Tube, rail, bus, boat and miles of paths and parks. We stayed here for two weeks and could have spent a month, next time I’ll stay longer.
The hosts are responsive and considerate. We were welcomed with fresh cut flowers, coffee and even delicious homemade muffins. This location would be my first choice for any London visit.
I run a small consultancy business inLondon. I had booked this place of Nicola for a colleague and a friend. What you need on a business travel is peace of mind, good access to public transport, things to do over the weekends, secure place and something that feels like home when you come back from a busy day. This beautifully kept flat has everything on the list and more. Nicola made it so easy and hassle free and was a wonderful host. 5 stars to her and the flat!
Brilliant host. Flat was in an excellent location and clean. Both made us feel very welcome and Simon (and his wife) were more than happy to help with anything. Lovely place to stay and highly recommended.
The reservation was canceled 47 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
A great location very central with easy access to Richmond and the station. Simon and Nicola were great hosts and the flat was perfectly appointed with everything I could have hoped for - thank you, highly recommended
