Welcome to a food and wine lover's paradise. A unique, private, cozy, wine country room awaits you in the city of Napa. Comfortable memory foam mattress, historic furniture, close to a jogging/hiking trail & 10 min to Downtown Napa & Yountville.

Need a 2nd room for friends/family? Please reach out!

The space

My house is located in a superb part of Napa. A hiking and jogging park is a few blocks to the west. Vineyards are within walking distance. There is easy access to Yountville and downtown Napa. Restaurants are just a mile or so away. The prestigious Mount Veeder, Oak Knoll, Yountville, and Carneros AVAs are just a short drive away (Oak Knoll is walking distance).

To help with your stay, we've collected 2-1 and free tasting cards from a few of our favorite wineries. Please consider these supplements to your main wine tasting/touring itinerary! Bethany and I are happy to recommend places for you to visit & have plenty of pro tips for you. I worked in the wine industry from 2008 - 2016 & grew up in Napa. Bethany had worked in the wine industry for 6 years, though she did grow up in Canada. She knows as much about wine as she does hockey! By day she's a program manager at The Napa Valley Arts Council. By night, she's an artist working with mediums ranging from clay sculpture to charcoal sketching.

City of Napa Permit # VR16-0012. So we're on the same page... I'm not a corporate vacation rental or anything like that.. The City of Napa has required permits for legal AirBnB rentals. What does this mean for you!? My house is certified safe! The fire inspector, building code inspector, planning and finance departments have all signed off on my house. Homes lacking a permit haven't been inspected by the city to make sure they're not violating any health and safety codes.

Access to the kitchen is included in your rental, as is space in the refrigerator. Feel free to relax in the backyard. We have hammocks!

Avoid the hassle of Napa's traffic & parking woes. We're in north Napa, providing easier access to the less congested roads. I have plenty of parking available, with a spot dedicated to you!

Don't feel like driving? No worries! A public transit hub is 2 miles away with a bus route .5 miles from my house. Uber works great & can get you anywhere you need to go.

My wife Bethany and I live here together. We both have full time jobs (mine requires a lot of travel) and the room is booked often. Sometimes our jobs can require long working hours so we might go to bed pretty early. Usually we're getting up at about 7am to make coffee and get ready for the work day. Dropping off luggage is always ok and please let me know if you have any questions during your stay. I am available via phone, text, email, and the airbnb app at just about any time.

Guest access

Your guest room, bathroom and pretty much the entire house sans our bedroom and office. Need to do laundry? Got ya covered. The backyard is also yours to hang out in. I stress how awesome hammocks are. We have 2 (one fits two people!). BBQ away as well. Oh yes, and our dogs! Play with or ignore them as you see fit!

Interaction with guests

It all depends on the day! I work full time at REC Solar. I'm in grad school at UC Davis as well. Bethany works at the Napa Valley Arts Council and is taking night classes in graphic design. We will certainly set some time aside to help you with your visit to Napa, though sometimes we might not be able to hang out as much as we might like.

Other things to note

My wife Bethany and I live here together. We both have full time jobs (mine requires some travel). Dropping off luggage prior to check in is always ok and please let me know if you have any questions during your stay. Text messages always will get the quickest response.

My dogs can get excited and playful when you arrive. If you're a dog person, you're going to love it here. If you're not a dog person, you're still going to love it here. If you're a cat person, I'm sorry. Think of my dogs like cats, but with personality and compassion.

Thirsty? Help yourself to a beer in the fridge. Not interested in a beer? Water glasses are to the left of the microwave & filtered water s in the fridge as well. Look for the tap on the left wall when you open the left door.

Not in to water? Well, this is wine country so you're not alone. Most people around these parts believe water needs to be filtered through a vine and stored in a grape before being squeezed out, fermented, and put into a barrel for a few years prior to finally ending up in a bottle. Wine glasses are in your room & even more glasses are next to the doors leading to the backyard.

Alex's home is in a great residential location, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get to downtown Napa or further in the Valley. There's Alton Park just a few blocks away, where there are hiking trails and great views of the Valley. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was very comfortable, wifi worked great, and both doggies were adorable. Thanks!

Adorable home in a quiet and convenient location. A short Uber/Lyft to wineries and downtown Napa. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Alex and Bethany were so friendly! Would recommend this place to anyone, and would stay again if ever in Napa.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. We planned a trip to Napa about two months ago and we were so excited to celebrate my birthday there. Unfortunately, we stopped by San Francisco for lunch before driving down to Napa from the airport when our car rental was broken into and all our luggage was stolen. We decided to make the best of this terrible situation and continue onto our destination. Thankfully, we had full coverage and traded cars with no problem. We spent the rest of the evening shopping for clothes, toiletries, etc. we finally arrived at Alex’s later than expected, but he was home and welcomed us with no problem. We were so happy to be there and felt completely safe and comfortable. Alex gave us some beers so we can relax in our room. Much needed after a crazy day! Their dog Teddy was so sweet and welcomed us warmly as well ☺️ Our room had a roku so we definitely took advantage of some Netflix and stayed in our first night. The next day was our wine tasting day. There’s so many good spots close by. We went to Domaine Carneros, Trefethen Winery, and Castello Di Amarosa. It’s pretty easy to get around. Downtown Napa was a nice spot to dine/shop. We had dinner at Ristorante Allegria. Overall, Napa was perfect and so was our stay! It made up for the craziness we went through before.

Friendly hosts. Alex was quick to reply to any questions and make accommodations per request. He had assisted us during the Wild Fires during our trip and was very thoughtful. The room was as expected, and they were welcoming while we stayed in the room.

I cannot say enough nice things about Alex and Bethany! They were so accommodating and had awesome recommendations for things around town. Their home was clean and welcoming and we felt completely at ease during our entire trip. The location was also perfect and was situated super close to both Napa and Yountville, where we spent most of our time. We already miss their two pups Goose and Teddy! Can't wait to go back!

Alex & Bethany were fantastic hosts. The accommodations were perfect for us and we loved the laid back atmosphere in addition to the proximity to most anywhere you might want to visit! Alex recommended a small "locals" restaurant Il Posto, which we found to be delicious and an uncomplicated setting for the perfect, relaxing dinner. (Fab service too) We enjoyed their hospitality and their funny pups. We would definitely return. Lisa & Cindy

Fitness nut, wine lover and foodie. I grew up in Napa, lived in LA, and have traveled all over the United States and Europe while also dabbling in China and Thailand. My ideal Saturday consists of bacon and eggs, cycling, a UCLA Football win, an hour in the hammock and a ridiculous meal with friends in the back yard.
