The small mountain town of Beulah offers a coffee shop with cappuccino and pastries, a "beer joint" with good hamburgers and Mexican green chili, a dance hall with folk and country music, two antique stores, a gift shop, a general store, gas station, and do everything home-owned telephone company, yoga and weight training classes twice each week, hiking in the mountain park. This small town has many artist, wood sculptures, writers and interesting folks who have retired here. You can venture over the 12 mile cut off to San Isabel Lake for good trout fishing and camp or hike in Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Nearby are hotsprings, The Royal Gorge, river trips, Pueblo (Riverwalk and biking trails, jazz, a university), Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods) and Denver with its big city delights. Interaction with Guests
A simple breakfast isprovided, refrigerator space if needed, outside barbecue. Just be sure it is clean as I live in bear country.
Our small village has a wonderful coffee shop called the Stompin Grounds, a down-home restaurant called Beulah Inn, a post office, general store, antique shop, book exchange and free-cycle barn. The mountain park has a great visitor center and many hiking trails.
You will need a car although sporty guests can ride their bikes the 24 miles from Pueblo!
