Chapmans General Store:
Located on Main Street in Fairlee, Chapmans has a wide selection of Vermont-made products, crafts, and souvenirs, as well as an extensive wine selection.

Family-owned and operated since 1983. We are located in a mill not a mall with over 17 acres of land to explore. The store has grown but our philosophy has never changed. Montshire Museum of Science:
Enjoy "one of the greatest assemblages of hands-on, child-friendly exhibits ever gathered in one place,” according to the NY Times. Billings Farm & Museum:
Get comfortable with the farm’s famous Jersey cows, sheep, workhorses, and oxen through family-centered activities. The Queen Anne farmhouse, farm life exhibit, and visitor center showcase this model farm established in 1871. Exit 1, I-89, Woodstock, VT (30 minutes from the Hilltop)
Raptor Center:
Located at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, this outdoor exhibit of non-releasable owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles is spectacular. VINS also features hiking trails, visitors’ center, and nature shop. Exit 1, I-89, Woodstock, VT (35 minutes from the Hilltop)
Simon Pearce Glass:
Watch the renowned, hand-blown glass and handmade pottery being created, start to finish, from a special catwalk-viewing gallery above the workspace floor. Exit 9,

Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium:
Located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, the building itself is a masterpiece of Victorian architecture featuring limestone and red sandstone carvings. Inside you’ll find Vermont’s only public planetarium, the New England Weather Center, and a large collection of natural science and artifacts from around the world. Exit 20, I-91, St.
