An amazing rustic location away from the hustle and bustle. This house is reached by a tiny winding road up into the hills, then a walk along a path through olive groves, (try not to take too many bags if you can, but there is a wheel barrow for help along the path:)). The house is beautifully decorated, a wonderful mix of antique, traditional, kitsch and modern, really well thought out and creative! The views are spectacular as are the sunsets!! Camaiore is worth checking out, very pretty and lively in the evening. If you're looking to get away from everything and have some solitude in Tuscan nature this is the place for you! A word of warning for those not from hot climes, there is quite a healthy eco-system of insects, we had a couple of the small local scorpions and many large centipedes (spiders crickets and ants, harmless and to be expected attract these), DONT PANIC the sting of these tiny scorpions is same as a wasp or bee, just catch under and cup like a spider :) Keeping windows and doors closed on the whole avoids too many bug invaders ;) especially from dusk onwards. Don't let this put you off though, it really is an incredible place, and so stunning and peaceful! We had such a lovely stay, and Camilla and her family are incredibly helpful and kind!!

Camilla's cottage is a perfect place for a peacefull and remote chillout. Olive trees, marvelous vews with cicadas accompaniment. In the same time, it takes 30 min by car to the beach, and not much longer to Pisa, Lucca and other attractions. Anyway, we reccomend to rent a car wich is small (roads are very narrow), high (stones and bumbps on the way to the cottage), and a bit stronger (it is steep). Fiat Panda or similar would be perfect.

Camillas house is a very special place where one can find peace and nature, a phantastic view and a wonderful atmosphere. Having a car is usefull. I liked to walk to the village, where you can get wonderful homemade pasta.

Great romantic place for two (plus dog)! The perfect house on a Tuscan hill, far away from hectic and stress. At the same time in the middle of the beautiful Tuscany, close to the sea and only minutes away from awesome restaurants (LaPieve, Candalla,...) or nature (hiking, waterfalls...) ! You have everything you need and everything else you just buy in the supermarkets close by (Camaiore, viareggio or the little il punto down in La Pieve). Camilla's sister led us to the beautiful little house up on the hill. The way is very steep at some stage and a (powerful) car is absolutely necessary to get up there. But once you made it: breathtaking! The contact with Camilla and her family was very friendly, helpful and welcoming - we got a lo of helpful tips for visiting places (e.g. Lucca, free beaches) and there was a lot of additional information material in the house. Go there, it's worth the drive!

Camilla's house is very well situated and has a beautiful view. When you sit under the pergola ans enjoy the view of the hills and the sea you will really find your rest. The house itself is very attractively furnished. Pisa and Lucca are really easy to visit from here (I would definitely recommend Lucca). The road to get to the house is very hard and narrow, doesn't have to be a problem. Prepare to find some insects in the house, I didn't mind, but my girlfriend really did not like that. Also the bed is indeed 120x200cm, which is very small for two persons, we didn't sleep very well.
