I have traveled extensively, and I am a people person, meeting very few that I didn't like. I respect my guest's needs for privacy and having there own space but am standing by for chats or to answer questions for anything needed.

Jan is a wonderful hostess. Before and during my stay she was very helpful with suggestions on what to do and how to get around. When I arrived, she had fresh cookies waiting in my room! Jan has put a lot of thought and time into her house, which is in a great location for seeing the natural beauty of the area. I visited both Mt. Rainier and Olympic while staying there. The guest room is large and comfortable, and the bathroom is artfully designed. I would highly recommend a stay at this unique and relaxing home.
Jan made me feel very welcome. She called and was very helpful in getting me setup. She had a nice welcome note when I first arrived, and that first night we talked for about 2 hours. She knows so much about Olympia, and so it was really helpful for me to get input from her, as I look to settle down in Olympia.
I also loved Jan's land. It was filled with wonder and surprises. Great for meditating. My room was comfortable and nicely decorated, but I enjoyed spending time in the living room or screened in porch. I would definitely stay with Jan again! Thanks Jan!
I'm delighted that you made yourself right at home here and have moved to the Olympia area. It was fun to share with you information about some of the wonders and beauty of this area, and I would be glad to offer more ideas if you have questions or would enjoy more input. I'm just a phone call away. Hope you have a wonderful, exploratory rest of your Summer.
I had a great stay at the "Luxury in quite farmhouse". Janis made me feel welcome from the first hello. It is a wonderful quite location where I enjoyed watching the deer and fawns out of my bedroom window. I will certainly stay there again if the opportunity presents itself and would highly recommend this place to my friends.
This stay was so wonderful! Jan and her friend Randy helped to make our time here fantastic. We came in very late and Jan waited up for us to show us around the house before we went to bed. She had fresh flowers and drinking water for us to enjoy when we arrived, and was very kind to us for the duration of our time there. The next day she showed us around her property, and we watched Randy shoe one of the horses. There were 3 horses while we were there, and we were able to play with them all. Jan went well above and beyond to be a super host to us. The bathroom is incredible, the bedroom is great. Decor throughout the house is unique, intriguing, and pleasing to the eye. Everything was clean. The setting really can't be beat, perfectly surrounded by plants and nature sounds with no light pollution, while only a few miles from the main city. We are so happy to have chosen to stay here, and hope to visit again sometime! We recommend you stay with Jan!
Jan was a very kind host who made me feel welcome in her beautiful home. She's a friendly and outgoing proprietor with lots of helpful tips about the local area. The room was very comfortable, and I especially appreciated having access to my own spacious and nicely decorated washroom.
I can't imagine how my stay could have gone better, and would recommend this place to anyone else without hesitation.
I found staying at Janis' place very peaceful and the perfect location to spend time visiting Mt. Rainier and Olympia as well as the Pacific coast. Janis was very helpful and informative about the area as well as having a very interesting background and insightful ideas about life and society. I highly recommend her place to stay.
Janis was great at communicating prior to arriving and made sure we were comfortable with directions to her place and what to do on arrival. The house was quirky, quaint and comfortable, both indoor and outdoor. Wish we had more time to enjoy the property. Janis made us feel very welcome and was a wonderful hostess.
About the Host, Janis
I retired from the film business sixteen years ago and bought my dream home, a farm on the Camus Prairie near Yelm, Washington. Here I have a organic garden, seasonal creek outdoor sauna and many amenities. Most people, once here mention the magic and beauty of this little farm. Perhaps it's the indoor/outdoor aviary full of finches the huge indoor greenhouse or the fact that it is so important to me that each guest feels at home.
