Charming detached private cottage situated in our lovely backyard garden. Casita is one small room with queen bed and beautifully tiled full bathroom (including shower.) Enjoy our outdoor dining and lounge area, or shaded seating under the avocado tree. Casita includes wireless Internet, cable tv, and plenty of books and magazines for browsing. We provide a coffee maker and tea kettle, Peet's coffee and assorted teas, and oatmeal. There is no kitchen in the casita, but we can provide a cooler upon request. We live in one of Santa Barbara's oldest neighborhoods, walking distance to public transportation, the best Mexican food in town, and Trader Joe's. Walk to beach, great eats, including the world famous La Super Rica, and shopping. Borrow a bike and hit the Urban Wine Trail in the nearby Funk Zone, or bike to State Street, Santa Barbara's "downtown" with shopping, restaurants, and bars.
We have hosted travelers from all over the world in our casita, and look forward to your visit. Aquí está su casa en Santa Barbara.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Santa Barbara, and Mark and his wife couldn't be any nicer! They genuinely want to give you the best stay they can!
Mark and Jen really made our first Airbnb experience a special one. La casita was a cozy little cube of relaxation, which provided everything we were looking for in a spot.
Jenn and Mark's little casita lived up to its name. It is peaceful, comfortable, quaint and super clean. The added touches and details made it super hospitable. A sweet little home away from home. Thank you Jenn and Mark for your kindness and hospitality - we will definitely be back! :-)
This was a great experience - the place was charming, quiet and private and the hosts, Mark and Jen were really helpful.
The location is perfect being just minutes from just about anywhere you'd want to be in SB.
Lovely place to stay and I'll definitely be coming back.
We stayed with Mark and Jen in their lovely, very cosy casita and we really cannot praise the place enough. Private and comfortable, with an amazing location and lovely hosts. We really enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them (even if it was very brief). Santa Barbara is a lovely place to visit and Mark and Jen can definitely point you in the right direction for all you need. Great taste in food and beach cruisers available to make sure you can try the lovely Californian wines :) If you would like to see our photos of their lovely place please check out our blog post (website hidden)
This was our first Airbnb experience and it was wonderful. The casita was well situated close to the city center with easy access to State street and the beach. Our hosts created a list of restaurants and places to check out, which was helpful. Both of our hosts greeted us upon arrival and were very friendly. They put us at ease about our first Airbnb visit. It was a small casita, but perfect for a couple day stay. It was clean, comfortable and probably less germy then your standard hotel room. Two thumbs up!
Mark and Jen were the perfect hosts!! Their casita was very clean and as they say cozy. We want to stay again in the summer to be able to use the bikes and enjoy the place again. Made our wedding all the more great. Thank you!!!!!
Mark and Jen were lovely hosts through and through. My girlfriend and I stayed with them for two days and loved the city as well as their place. They were extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with many suggestions for food and fun, all of which lived up to expectations. The Casita was warm and well furnished with an extremely comfortable bed. After leaving, Mark informed us that my girlfriend left her scarf and he was happy to mail it to us. All in all Mark and Jen have a lovely home and anyone would be lucky to stay there on a visit to Santa Barbara.
We really enjoyed our stay. Mark and his wife gave just the right amount of support and information to make our trip sparkle. I highly recommend them. I enjoyed riding the bike very much.
We loved cozy casita, Mark and Jen were very nice. Too bad we didn't have enough time to chat with them. We loved bike riding to the beach with the bikes they lend their guests.
