Welcome to our beautiful mountain lodge located in the heart of the Prairie on a real working bison (buffalo) ranch! If you are looking for an escape from the worries of the world, this is the place for you. Great place for couples seeking to “get-away”, family reunions, group retreats, and hunters. Our prairie setting will not disappoint!

**PRICING**
Price listed is for entire lodge.
We also rent individual rooms ($115/room/night) with access to the great room.
Send message to book 1-2 rooms.

The space
While pets are very welcome, they need to be kenneled outside or on the large enclosed porch. We want our lodge to be a pleasant experience for everyone, therefore we have a "no pet rule" in the sleeping rooms and in carpeted areas of the Tepee Room (Great Room).

Guest access
The Tepee Room is a beautiful gathering place! There are two tables for dining and/or areas to work on projects or play games. There is also a loft that may may used as an extra sleeping area - bring your own sleeping bags or cots. The loft also has a desk that may be your "home away from home office".
Full kitchen (minus an oven) with all the amenities.

Other things to note
We offer "Prairie Tours" - a tour of our buffalo & cattle herd.
Please inquire if you would like other services, such as tours of the ranch, local historical information,or help in planning and hosting a retreat.

You'll travel on about 7 miles of gravel roads to reach your destination. The driveway to the Prairie Lodge is 1/4 mile and the nearest neighbor is one mile away. You will be surrounded by native Kansas prairie and wildlife, and of course, our buffalo and cattle herds. The night sky is immense on the prairie and there are no more beautiful sunrises and sunsets anywhere than you will experience on the ranch. It's truly a one of a kind experience!

My husband Ken and I own a bison (buffalo) ranch in western Kansas. We have a passion for sharing our love and stewardship of not only the bison, but the land, too. We love sharing the history of our ranch, which was a Indian encampment long ago, first homestead and post office in the county, and was on the Great Western Cattle Trail - trail that was highlighted in the movie Lonesome Dove. We operate the "Prairie Lodge" in Kansas. We also own "Little Heart Mountain Home" in northwest Wyoming. We met and married near Yellowstone 32 years ago and love going back to our Wyoming roots! I'm also a natural health and wellness educator. I host workshops and weekend retreats at our Prairie Lodge in Kansas.
