We were there just for one night. The booking was really spontanious but ererything worked well. Beds and Bathroom were clean. There was a problem with the flush and Linda helped us immediately! Linda was even very helpfull wiht advertises what to do around Cahersiveen. The Irish Breakfast was the first one I've had and it was good.
My experience at O'Sheas was great. The host was very accommodating and the location was handy for visiting all areas of the Ring of Kerry.
Linda and her father were great in every little detail. During my stay, they offered me huge breakfasts, and then asked if it was enough.
They helped me to find the best thing to do in two days in Caherciveen — the fourts are very nice and worth a walk— and some nice places to eat.
The main goal of my staying was trying to go to Skellig island, but due to weather conditions — wind was quite strong —, the boat didn't depart. Instead Linda told me about Valentia Island, that is quite near and reachable by a short trip by ferry, and this "b plan" was a quite nice surprise indeed! Valentia is wonderful.
Linda also helped me to get the best connection to Dingle — she has better information than bus éireann... ;) — which made my trip get shortened 2h. Great! Thank you Linda and Patrick for all the help!
My family had a great time at O'Sheas B&B. Very nice hosts and a very central location for exploring Caherciveen. The Irish breakfast was a great way to start the morning!
Thanks for a lovely review, Your family should of joined us in the sitting room around the stove after a busy day of meeting relatives and exploring South Kerry, I thought they were out in the Pub I didn't hear them come in. There is a sitting room also for guests in the front of the house. looking forward to meeting you all again. Linda
Friendly, excellent value and very comfortable. Perfect base for exploring the peninsula. Will be returning when I am next in the area.
If you're looking for a place to stay on your journey around the ring of Kerry, then I can highly recommend staying at Linda and Pat's B&B. Very friendly, clean and well located... a great value! Thank you Linda and Pat for your help with the Skelligs (even if I didn't get to the island, the Ring of Skellig was a gorgeous drive). Cheers, Michel
Patrick O'Shea ((website hidden)(phone number hidden).html) received us very kindly. We had a large room, the shower and toilet were small but ok. Although the room was facing the street, this was no problem. The breakfast was good. Patrick had answered all our questions patiently. The B & B is centrally located, shops and pubs are nearby. The place is a good starting point for excursions.
